Judge Alito Saves American Civilization

Judge Alito will be the fourth of nine votes to fix the Supreme Court. One more vote and an ‘Originalist’ majority on the U.S. Supreme Court can save American Civilization from Judicial Tyranny. Alito won’t save our Civilization by himself, but it can’t be done without him. Or, at the least, saving our Civilization can’t be done the easiest, direct, most peaceful way without an Originalist Supreme Court and many Originalist judges throughout the Federal judiciary. The harder way is another revolution, which is the supreme irony, because judicial tyranny is about judging which revolution is right for America (puns intended). Please, allow me to explain.
Ideas motivate humankind. Ideas arise, uniquely, in cultures from the cumulative shaping of individual contributions. Individual people matter across the march of centuries. So, some of the ideas Americans hold in common trace back to events and persons who lived 4000 years ago, starting with a Jewish patriarch, and 2500 years ago to Greek city-states. And, eventually, these ideas come to a point of decision in a war won or lost, an invasion, a migration, a religious conversion or a revolution. Which is precisely what happened to Western Civilization with two revolutions in 1776 and 1789. Western Civilization came to crossroads of destiny. We are wrestling with the same ideas, somewhat matured, today.
The American Revolution of 1776 was soldiered by Christians and Jews to create a new government that compensated for the fallen nature of mankind. The French Revolution of 1789 was soldiered by anti-religionists to create a new government that experimented with the perfection of mankind. The American revolution was built on the foundation of the Holy Bible, Roman Law, English Common Law, and Christian, especially Protestant, thought. The French Revolution was the destruction of the Old Order of Church and State and the Secular Humanist antithesis of Roman Catholic thought. Both Revolutions served as models for the modernization of Western Civilization.
The French Revolution failed because its idealism was contrary to human nature and perfectly suited to abuse by tyrants. First the Directorate, then Napoleon. Yet, the appeal of the French Revolution’s Secular Humanism spawned revolutions in 1848 and the terrible twins of the 20th Century – Nazi Human Secularism and Communist Human Secularism. Today, Liberal Human Secularism shares their basic ideas – there is no God, humans can be made perfect, the state is supreme, etc. - while employing the rhetoric of the American Revolution.
The American Revolution succeeded because its reality was made manifest in the genius of the Constitution to create separate powers, checks and balances and limited governments in federal republic, not a democracy. The individual is the sovereign of the state. Individual freedoms are God-given, inalienable and listed in a Bill of Rights. Unfortunately, Federal Government power has grown steadily to be the potential instrument of tyrants since the Unpleasantness of 1861-65. Worse, rule by judges, actual judicial tyranny, began using that power in the New Deal 30’s and abusing power since the U.S. Culture War started in the 60’s. The American Revolution is in doubt as Liberals seek to replace American ideas with the concepts of the French Revolution. Originalists share the ideas of the American Revolution with the Founders.
Thus, the U.S. Supreme Court rules, decision by decision, as to which ideas, which Revolution, wins and which culture, Judeo-Christian or Human Secularist, supports American Civilization. The President and Congress could curtail this power of the courts Constitutionally, but they don’t.
If Samuel Alito, John Roberts and other future justices prove to be false Originalists and fail to rule as a majority, then there will be another American Revolution. The Liberal justices will abuse their power too far. Tyranny never steps back on its own. Judicial tyrants will keep the Nation’s borders open to illegal invasion, hamstring security against Islamists barbarians, culturally cleanse Judeo-Christian history, make Christian speech a hate crime, order the execution of more helpless persons, maintain partial-birth infanticide, enforce racial quotas, make criminal and civil decisions a function of wealth, and let governments take private property for privileged private gain until there is an accounting. Push will come to shove. There will be a Rosa Parks II or a second stand of citizens at a different rude, wooden bridge.
The confirmation of Judge Alito means more than the hot button issues du jour. Gaining the Courts should bring an eventual peaceful winning of ACW II. A Conservative victory in ACW II assures the eventual victory in WW IV over the Islamists – no matter what.
