More Bush Bunk!

In an attempt to rebound from his low approval ratings, President Bush has been pushing his plan for border security. However, his latest scheme really offers nothing new and still contains a so-called "guest worker plan" (which is codeword for amnesty). Unfortunately, for the president, it is much too little and far too late.
Bush's plan calls for expanded detainment of illegals, "interior repatriation" (taking them back to the interior of Mexico, rather than just across the border), and of course the guest worker program. Basically, Bush wants to throw a little more money at the problem and reward those who enter this country by illegal means. Bush's transformation into a liberal is now complete.
Under the Bush plan, registered illegals would be allowed to work in this country for three years before returning home...Nonsense! They will simply return to their undocumented status and remain here. Nor will employers be willing to give up their cheap labor.
The president's plan for combating illegal immigration is truly an insult to the American people, though I am not certain which is more insulting--the plan itself or the fact that Bush thought we would fall for it!
The easiest and most effective way to stop the Mexican invasion is to place troops along the border. But as I said, that would be effective and we all know that President Bush will never do anything to jeopardize the flow of cheap labor into this country nor would he risk alienating Latino voters.
The Bush administration will be remembered as a failed one. He has failed to protect the people of this once great nation from an onslaught of foreign invaders. One day the United States will take its place amongst the other Third World countries, and future generations of Americans will have their own government to thank for low wages, dangerous streets, and immigrant-driven epidemics.
Unchecked immigration (both illegal and legal) will continue to destroy our once high quality of life. Bush's plan amounts to moving Mexico to the U.S. What a pity that our president places the needs of Mexicans and unscrupulous employers before those of working Americans!
