Iranian Aspirations
By John A. Ross (12/03/05)
The majority of Iranians want to get rid of the despotic Mullahs presently controlling that country, however, they also do not want their country to go through what Iraq is experiencing. To the surprise of many, the educational level in Iran exceeds most Western countries and rivals that of Poland and Ireland, which have the best-educated populaces in the world. In Iran’s case, combining the two, realistic nationalism and well-educated citizens, will soon dislodge the manipulating Mullahs, despite the fact that they will sell their souls to retain control, from power.
Iran today is much further along in its’ quest to become a truly free democracy and secular state than Russia was when the Soviet Union imploded and Boris Yeltsin grabbed the reins of power. Aware that they do not want any vestiges of the Mullahs around after the coup d’ etat occurs, the Iranian people have systematically made sure that their upcoming regime change will be complete. Specifically, having witnessed the communist’s chicanery in Russia, Iranians will not allow any of the Mullahs, or their surrogates that profess to be “reformed,” in the government that replaces them.
Scheming to use their uranium enrichment program as a bargaining chip, similar to the Cuban Missile Crisis that ended in the U.S. guaranteeing Russia that it would not invade Cuba, the Mullahs will do anything to stay in power. Compounding the strong public indicators that the Mullahs’ are losing control, the Mullahs are starting to attack one another over the political missteps of Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad. In this environment, the U.S. State Department must not do or say anything that will cause the average Iranian to think that we are going to do something stupid and let the Mullahs stay in power.
The Iranian people, not the manipulating Mullahs that are brutalizing their country, are friends and will be very important allies to the U.S., after the coup d’ etat, or regime change, occurs. Besides having the second largest oil reserves on earth, the Iranian people will be formidable teammates in the democratization and modernization of the entire Middle East. Combining America’s proven technical prowess with the Iranian people’s intellect and intrinsic wealth, the darkness that befell Iran fourteen centuries ago will soon be wiped way.
In view of the above circumstances, the U.S. State Department must do everything within its’ control to assure the Iranian people that America supports their desire to become a secular democracy. Most importantly, the Iranian people must truly understand that America will not let Iran be splintered along ethnic or religious lines. In the final analysis, however, it rests in the hands of the young democrats, not the old Monarchists, greedy ethnic opportunists and religious fanatics, to guide Iran before, during and after the coup d’ etat.
The EU response to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stated objective to “wipe Israel off the map” has manifested itself in the acknowledgment that the Islamic fascist threat is real and the Ayatollahs have been manipulating the EU. Just as Italy has come to accept that the manipulating Mullahs must be confronted, the rest of the EU must also bite-the-bullet and stand up to the butchering Mullahs that believe they can rule the world. Once the EU gets on-board, the Iranian people will expeditiously dispense of the Mullahs.
