Clinton feeling the heat from her own party
By JT Thompson (12/03/05)
Hillary Clinton's recent fund-raising letter seems to have left out a very important issue. Iraq. It's not even mentioned.
During a Thanksgiving ant-war rally, Daniel Ellsberg made it very clear that he's got concerns about her, and the thought of her becoming the next U.S. President. He said:
"Education, health care, tax cuts, the economy, jobs, the environment, social security, reproductive rights, separation of church and state, homeland security — no mention of Iraq or the war; not on the list,"
This might not seem to be a big issue right now, but it's representative of the shift away from Hillary that's been starting to appear. Drops in polls and overall trust are a thorn in her side right now.
Baruch College political scientist Doug Muzzio said:
"If the tide shifts, she's on the wrong side of the sea wall,"
Referring to a call she made in 2003.
While it's true that it's early, and hard to predict what the future holds, Hillary is not doing quite as well right now as she originally thought.
Jeanine Pirro also has no quams with continuing. Deflecting constant "Clinton Machine" style badgering she said Friday she had no intentions of leaving the race, even after pressure began from leaders of her own party. She's had a tough time with her campaign. What does it say about Jeanine? Does it make her a strong person with a firm stance? Or does it mean she simply doesn't know when to quit? Time will tell.
It seems people are beginning to realize the real truth about Hillary. Unfortunately for her, it's not helping her hopes of making it to the whitehouse. Hillary is a much more fearful issue than Katrina ever could be.
