"What If They Had a Scandal and Nobody Cared?"

Why should any American care that a self serving pocket lining scumbag like Abramoff easily finds purchased favor with the self same slimeball breed in Congress? Their political affiliation is immaterial, especially now that they'll rat their mom trying to minimize their cell time, in between hot tears of ruined careers and contemplating shower time with Bubba.
Your simplistic dismissal and diversionary characterizations expose your personal political agenda with no real interest in truth or justice. It's this kind of mindless political rationalization that every master of evasion desperately relies upon and makes you part of the problem as an apologist for criminal behavior, apparently unable to call a spade a spade. Certainly not the trait of a true conservative or even principled citizen and absolutely devoid of Christian ethic. A pathetic journalistic effort and a moral travesty. Think, and do better.
