Democrats Hoping Your Memory Is Selective

THE CONTROVERSY CONTINUES to fester over the US’s failure to find caches of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. It was never a condition of war that Iraq had caches of weapons of mass destruction. Iraq was in material breach of every UN resolution. War was justified on that basis alone.
But no matter—the Bush Haters can’t wait to insinuate that the president knew they did not exist and that he lied to the American people in order to wage a “war for oil.”
Democrats and their media accomplices are counting on two things—your inability to remember what they said themselves about the issue and an ability to convince an American public of anything so long as it is repeated again and again, a technique used effectively by the Maoists but I digress.
So what did those who are now criticizing the president the loudest say about Iraq’s capabilities? Here’s a sampler from various Internet sources in one handy column you can cut out to post on your refrigerator or make copies and mail to the family liberal.
