The War Looms On because of lies like this.

Religious fanatics like Rob Hood are able to live in their hateful mythical little worlds by ignoring obvious facts and by ignoring reality. I barely no where to begin nor how much I can cover in one letter. So let's get one of the big ones out of the way. After all, if ole Rob is too ignorant of the subject to get even the more obvious and easily check facts correct, who would bother taking anything he states as valid? From his rambling inanities:
"Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family is leading a boycott against Madeline O’Hare, a vowed atheist who alone is responsible for the discontinuation of the CBS show “Touched by an Angel” because it mentioned God too much. She is also responsible for taking prayer out of the schools."
Imagine that. an Atheist that pulls Jesus' trick and is resurrected. And no simple stunt like 3 days, but after TEN YEARS! She was killed in 1995. So how is it that Dobson is boycotting a dead woman? He refuses to visit or allow any of his followers to vist her grave perhaps? (She doesn't have one by the way.) But somehow, Rob also informs us, she came back to life to battle God's name being used in a TV program 7 years later, as "Touched" was cancelled in 2003.
And while Ms O'Hare was pleased to take credit for "taking prayer out of public schools", the earliest Supreme Court ruling was other religions complaining that it was the OTHER religion's prayers they wanted out. (See Engel v. Vitale 1962, a year before O'Hare's Murray v. Curlett) And there have been many more rulings since then upholding and expanding on the precedence established in the ORIGINAL Engel ruling. Her's was but one of many and not even the first.
Practically his entire text is similarly lacking in validity. But people like this seldom let messy things like FACTS interfer with their rants. Unfortunately too many others allow these lies to be promoted without correction, much less exposure of the actual facts.
