War under Attack
By Rob Hood (02/08/06)
I am proud to say that our President is giving the dems a hard time on the NSA surveillance ordeal. What I can’t understand is how the mainstream media and the liberals came to make this a politically correct thing.
I have heard it day in and day out on CBS. The evening news usually starts by mentioning the “domestic spying” program or the “domestic intelligence gathering”. It is neither. It is what it should be called and that is the National Security Agency INTERNATIONAL COUNTER-SURVEILLENCE PROGRAM!
It seems to me that if Al Queda is planning an attack here in the U.S. then we should be able to do everything in our power to stop it including listening to their phone calls inside and outside the United States.
This is not a domestic program designed to collect evidence toward from crime. It is simply not that type of program and the president does not need permission from judges on a FISA court to justify a need for a warrant to conduct this activity. THIS COUNTRY IS AT WAR! War time presidential powers are just a little bit different in that he is COMMANDER IN CHIEF over the United States armed forces.
We are fighting three wars at the same time. The first war is the American culture war where secular American and Christian America are neck deep in lawyers and courts. The second war is the war on terror in Afghanistan, Iraq, and where ever the next battle will lead until radical terrorism is extinct. The third war is the war over the war on terror.
Liberal Democrats have waged war on conservative America and President Bush. The best president we have had since Reagan has been mocked, cursed, disputed, called ludicrous names, and other such unnecessary things. He has done his very best at leading this country and I think he has done an admirable job in doing so.
This year is election year and the goal of the Democrats is to muster enough fellow Democrats to have a one sided case against President Bush and impeach him. WE MUST NOT LET THAT HAPPEN! We have come to far now to go back to the failed Clinton years. We are winning in Iraq. Things are getting better for Americans. We are making progress in returning to old time traditions, ethics, and moral values that this society was founded on and we cannot go back now!
No one knows the outcome of the November elections, but I feel pretty good about it. The Democrats are only putting the hurt on themselves by going against the American people and sacrificing the security of the nation by leaking secrets that 120 years ago could have earned them the death penalty before a firing squad.
Some things in Washington can be overlooked and ignored but giving secrets to an enemy in war time is as serious as things can get. Prosecution is inevitable for whoever the leak is and whatever party they belong because they have damaged a program designed to keep terrorists where they belong – six feet under. People who are challenging this concept may just find out how the American people really feel in November. I’ll sure let them know how I feel anyway.
