Helping Terri - One Year Later
By Rob Hood (03/20/06)
One Year ago yesterday the unthinkable began to take place. The feeding tube of Terri Schiavo was removed. The real fight started on this day. We all remember seeing people supporting Terri and her family through this terrible ordeal that this innocent young lady had family had to endure. A year ago next week, March 31, to be exact, Terri died and yet, there are still unanswered questions as to why she was even in this condition to start with and why the family was not allowed to have custody of their own daughter. All they wanted was to take care of her. Was that too much to ask? What exactly was motivating Mr. Schiavo to pull such a stunt as this in the first place? Was it money? A cover-up of a previous attempted murder? Who knows? We still do not know why Terri was in this condition. Some say she had a heart attack but her husband failed to get help immediately. Is this true and why? There are so many unanswered questions.
My heart was broken during this time and I simply could not hardly stand listening to the blatant bias of CBS coverage of this story, so I mostly relied on internet, Sean Hannity, Bill Bennett, and other shows to get my information updates on Terri. Every day after work I would turn on Sean Hannity, as I normally do, and listen to the interviews with medical personnel who told a much different story than what was being said in the mainstream press.
Many prayers were said and many people let their voices be heard about such an atrocity and many including myself have vowed to never let this go until ALL of our questions are answered. Terri's family still needs your support and prayers and they are still struggling with legal battles and need your help. The first thing you can do is pray. Remember to pray for Terri's family twice a day and pray that this will be resolved soon. On March 31, 2006 please remember Terri by a moment of silence and a prayer for her family. We must remember! March 31 is Terri's Day.
