I am preparing to write a commentary on the recent University of Washington rejection of a memorial to a graduate, Marine Medal of Honor recipient Gregory "Pappy" Boynton. Yesterday the student government voted on a memorial to honor all five graduates who received the MoH. The sad thing is more than a third of the elected student government officials either voted against the memorial or abstained. It seems that for many on college campuses pride in America, honor and support for the military are out the window.
