When Freedom Gets Targeted: The NRA vs. the UN

In recent times one has to wonder just where the United Nations gets its ideas for social structure. We now know that the United Nations hates homeshool education because it allows the freedom of parents to educate their children without the public culture shock associated with today's most liberal NEA endorsed public schools. The idea of extra-marital sex and homosexuality nearly suffocate education right out of the classroom and the UN is willing to stand behind it.
Not only does the UN endorse left wing ideals, but it actually works to create some of them as well. The UN used to be a good organization created to help keep the peace, but personally I think it's time that the United States pull all support and funding from the ever corrupt organization. The food for oil scandal was enough to get my vote to pull out.
Now, the UN wants to dictate that we as free Americans can't think for ourselves and can't own a firearm in our own home or vehicle. According to Cybercast News Service, the UN will be holding its Global Gun Control conference in New York from June 26-July 7, 2006. This could not have come at a worse time for free Americans. Independence Day will be occupied by a terror sponsored, Saddam back UN that vows to get our guns with the support of liberals in Washington.
The UN has announced recently that it wants a standing army. Now let's think about it. A standing global army that endorses homosexuality, hides Christianity under its shadows of deception, backs terrorist leaders like Saddam Hussein, and wants to take away your right to own a firearm? That's a scary thought. Just what is the UN planning to do when civilians have no defense? Are they planning to take us over? What's the deal? I don't understand why the UN can't leave the UNITED STATES Constitution alone and mind their own business.
I have recently exercised my Second Amendment right and purchased a revolver with plenty more handguns and rifles on the way. As a matter of fact this is only the fourth gun I own. I know people who have over a hundred. There is no way that I will give my Second Amendment right over to a bunch of half scared, freedom hating terror sponsored nations. Not now and not ever! As far as I am concerned the U.S. Marines need to meet them at the front door next week and send them all back where they came from if that's the attitude they have about OUR Constitution that has nothing to do with them at all.
Thomas Jefferson once said to never trust a government that did not trust its own citizens with a firearm. I agree with Jefferson. The UN cannot be trusted and all of its allies like Hillary, Kerry, Kennedy, and rest of the gun hating left wingers out there need to figure out that real Americans like things to stay the same most of the time. Conservatives like to take the United States Constitution literally just like we do our Bibles. The Constitution is not a living document as some silly left wing judges are saying.
They only say this so that they can change the parts of it that fits into their personal lifestyle. Now I say that I am a Christian and I get the very liberal talking points about Christians owning guns almost every week at work. Yes, I am a Christian and yes I am a gun owner. Hunting has been a tradition in my family for much longer than my family history can be traced. Not only hunting though. I am not much of a hunter, but do enjoy the sport of shooting and whether I am Christian or not, I will protect my home if invaded or threatened. Self-defense and home protection is not a sin.
I strongly back the National Rifle Association and really don't care who knows it. As a matter of fact I own t-shirts saying I am a proud member as well as stickers on my truck and most anything else I own. People around me that know me well know that I get pretty serious when someone starts threatening my freedom like the UN is doing right now.
Free citizens of America cannot afford to let the UN take over like they are. We have to make our voices be heard and let them know that their freedom hating thinking and actions are not welcome in the United States. If they want to come here and talk about how to talk peace with Iran or how to take on drug wars coming from the Southern borders, then I'm am o.k. with that, but the minute they start trying to change my constitution to foreign law, then I get pretty upset.
I praise Mr. Alan Gottlieb, the founder of the Second Amendment Foundation. He is planning to attend that silly and totally unnecessary conference next week. The reason that I praise him so much is that he is willing to stand up to the bullies just like John Bolton does every now and then. He is doing just what I and countless others have started recommending. He is urging the United States government to reconsider it financial contributions to the United Nations if it continues to attack the Second Amendment. Perhaps if we take away their money, they will mind their own business.
No one knows what will take place in the heated debates to come about next week, but I am not all that worried (for now) because I can thank God that I have a president like George W. Bush who installs men of courage like John Bolton into the UN assembly to watch out for the good of America. This Fourth of July, I want everyone to remember that we still own America and that the UN cannot touch our constitution - EVER!
