You Could Be a Medical Guinea Pig: Without Your Knowledge or Consent

I referenced a Sen. John D. Rockefeller 1994 report revealing that for at least 50 years the Department of Defense has used hundreds of thousands of military personnel in human experiments and for intentional exposure to dangerous substances.
Human experimentation as a government policy is just flat WRONG and needs to be exposed and terminated. That "greater good for the greater number" excrement overwhelms the point of diminishing returns. It is not just myopic and wrong … it is evil.
This malevolent policy may predate my research, but at least starting in 1931 Dr. Cornelius Rhoads, intentionally infected human subjects with cancer cells. He went on to start a series of radiation exposure experiments on American soldiers and civilian hospital patients.
ABC's 20/20 recently did a story about current medical abuse of power. My last column on the topic was in 2003 and I ‘thought’ the practice had ended. WRONG!
Brian Ross interviewed a doctor who, defending the indefensible, didn't see anything wrong with giving patients an experimental artificial blood called Polyheme...without their permission!
Notwithstanding studies indicating how potentially dangerous this concoction is, Doctor 'Show Me the Money/Mengala' was adamant in refusing to accept any facts that contradicted his preconceived opinions. prejudices, and cash flow.
Ross identified 27 cities where seriously injured accident victims could become an unsolicited guinea pig for a medical experiment...without their knowledge OR consent.
This latest experiment involves an artificial blood called Polyheme.
Apparently the feds have given the company that makes it approval to use badly bleeding accident victims as test subjects, without the subjects informed consent.
When the same mistake is made routinely, chronically, inevitably … it is NOT a mistake. It is policy. Bad policy.

Meanwhile, the litany of past sins is long and each item, from the 1932 Tuskegee Syphilis Study to the U.S. Navy spraying a cloud of bacteria from ships over San Francisco in a 1950 experiment to determine how susceptible an American city would be to biological attack, deserves more space than I have.

It has been POLICY. The government can't sugarcoat it, redefine it or claim ignorance. It has been (and apparently STILL IS) policy.
In 1947 Col. E.E. Kirkpatrick issued a secret document (Document 07075001, Jan. 8, 1947) stating that the agency would begin administering intravenous doses of radioactive substances to human subjects.
After the Navy sprayed bacteria over San Francisco in 1950 they came back with a joint Army-Navy-CIA drill and exposed tens of thousands of New Yorkers and San Francisco residents with an airborne release of Serratia marcescens and Bacillus glogigii.
MKULTRA wasn't Hollywood fiction. It was an 11-year nightmare intended to produce and test drugs and biologicals. Six spin off projects used unwitting human subjects.
Another movie of the week plot that was REAL was the 1966 release of Bacillus subtilis varian niger in the New York City subway system. Over a million civilians were exposed when army scientists dropped lightbulbs filled with the bacteria onto ventilation grates.
The Department of Defense admitted in 1987 that, despite a treaty banning research and development of biological agents, it continued to operate research facilities at 127 facilities and universities around the nation.
More than 1,500 6-month-old black and Hispanic babies in Los Angeles were given an "experimental" measles vaccine in 1990 that had never been licensed for use in the United States. CDC begrudgingly admitted parents were never informed that the vaccine being injected to their children was experimental.
Six years ago I interviewed Michael Belkin. He was a financial forecaster and statistician uninvolved in medical policy -- until his infant daughter died after receiving a hepatitis B vaccine. Since that tragedy, Belkin devoted himself to battling mandated immunizations and the powerful forces involved. Belkin testified before Congress in opposition to forced hepatitis B vaccinations.
