"...an utterly corrupt new religion called environmentalism..."
If the history of this planet's climate over millions of years is any guide, we are about to enter a new ice age.
CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper indicated in a 1993 interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he wants to see the United States become a Muslim country.
Iraq is Not Vietnam: Terrorists Are Not Guerrillas
By Arthur Bruzzone (04/21/04)
Swim like a fish in water. So taught Mao Tse-tung, the Chinese military strategist and political tyrant. His advice was to guerrilla fighters. The Viet Cong followed Mao's advice. So did America's Revolutionary War cadres.
On the other hand, Al Qaeda, and other Islamic terrorists, are like scorpions in the desert. They are in the open, detached from the people, vulnerable, and impatient. For that reason, they will fail.
Iraq is not Vietnam. Supporters of John Kerry and many in the media don't believe that. Both are having delusional flashbacks from the sixties-- like a 'bad drug trip', and can't see the differences.
Contrast guerrillas and terrorists and you see why one is doomed to failure. Guerrilla fighters work and live in the village by day, attack at night. They attack clearly vulnerable military targets, then disappear into the bush. They issue no press release, no cameras capture the event.
Terrorist instead prefers civilian targets. They thrive on media events, the bloodier, the better. They glorify the horror, which they generate. They hide among the people out of necessity, not empathy.
By attacking military targets, guerrillas endear themselves among their people, and do not alienate the public of their enemy. Terrorists, on the other handby attacking the enemy's civilans, alienate sympathizers among the enemy. They often alienate many among their own people, who are embarrassed or abhor civilian massacres.
The guerrilla leadership is undisclosed and hidden, making it difficult to destroy.
Terrorist leaders are visible and boisterous, leaving taped and video messages, often giving defiant speeches in public. They leave themselves open to intense search and destroy missions, like the successful assassination of by Israeli forces of Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi.
Guerrilla movements have powerful ideological leaders The Viet Cong received inspiration by the writings of their leader, Ho Chi Minh. a a ruthless but inspiring leader. Islamic terrorist cells have cunning operational leaders, like Bin Laden. They draw from the Koran for inspiration, but generate no great theoretical military leader. The Koran is direct and unequivocal; martyrdom and suicide encouraged. Guerrilla leaders stress patience and long term results requiring decades if necessary. They refrain from suicide missions.
A successful guerrilla movement attacks a despotic governing body that tortures and plunders for many years.
Islamic terrorists come from countries which are often led by despots. Saddam Hussein was a sadist and murderer. He himself used terror to maintain power. His downfall, the U.S. operation to decapitate his regime, resounds with a majority of Iraqis. (No one, not even Al Qaeda and the Democrats would like to see his return to power.)
Of the above mentioned differences, the difference in targets most distinguishes the Islamic terrorist from guerrillas. The choice of civilian targets, and not military targets, accounts for alienating brutality and ineffectiveness of terrorism. When the guerrilla successfully attacks a military target, they become a hero for the people who come to resent the counterattacks of the military.
This would account for the momentary popularity in Iraq of guerrilla-like attacks against American convoys and mobile patrol units.
But Iraqi guerrilla attacks are carried out for the most part by former members of Hussein's despised regime or by fringe radical fundamentalists. Neither are strongly aligned with the people. This blunts the propaganda value of current guerrilla-like attacks in Iraq.
Islamic fundamentalists have achieved no military victories. Rather than changing regimes throughout the world, their brutality against civilians has resulted in the end of one Islamic regime (Afghanistan), end of a regime friendly to terrorists (Saddam's Iraq), the reversal of one regime that once strongly supported terrorists (Libya), Hamas being decimated, and terrorist movements in Southeast Asia and Central Asia are being countered aggressively.
You measure the effectiveness of a military by its ability to further political aims. Terrorists have failed to achieve any political goals. They measure their effectiveness by the number of bloody casualties achieved.
That is why we will defeat terrorism, specifically Islamic fundamentalist terrorists, although we will suffer many more casualties along the way.

The United States Is Being Overthrown By Our Politicians - "A silent but all-reaching coup is taking place within the
United States. This coup is not being directed by bomb-laden Muslim terrorists, nor will it ever be covered by the mainstream media.
The seditious act is being carried out by our very own elected officials, with President Bush leading the insurrection."
"The FDA has conveniently used the excuse of looking out for consumer safety to increase their perverse regulatory power,
undermine free speech, disrupt commerce, and generally get in the way of helping people improve their health. The "half-truth" of
the safety issue is used as a ploy to reduce the rights of Americans, one freedom at a time. Once again, the FDA is seeking more
police power to intimidate supplement companies. This is one step in an overall FDA master plan to eliminate therapeutic nutritional
supplements from the free market. Those who lose are the American public." The FDA - A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
