Kofi Annan lectures America on how to live
By James T. Moore (12/17/06)
Before I take this article another word forward, let's get one thing out in the open. And it's not my opinion, it's a rock-solid fact.
Kofi Annan, retiring Secretary General of the United Nations, is a socialist, which is only slightly better than a communist. You’re surprised? Why should you be? Every former UN Secretary General from Alger Hiss, Trygve Lie, Dag Hammarskjold and U Thant, to Kurt Waldheim, Perez de Cuellar, Boutros-Ghali, and Kofi Annan. is, or has been, a Marxist, a Socialist, a Communist, or just a plain criminal.
Don’t believe it? You got Google, haven’t you? Look them up.
In short, the United Nations is impotent when it comes to maintaining world peace, but it’s a powerhouse at building a New World Order by destroying the sovereignty of free nations.
And now you have Kofi Annan giving us the five lessons he learned as Secretary General of this dangerous organization; and in “translation” insinuating how the wealthy nations (read America) are ruining the world. It’s worse than the pot calling the kettle black. It’s more like cancer accusing the measles of being a killer disease.
One of Annan’s “lessons”--- Governments must be accountable for their actions---obviously makes sense because it is self-evident and universally accepted, if not practiced. But Annan’s four other lessons---touting socialism or communism stick out like a festering boil. Here they are, and my reaction to them.
Lesson: “Respect for human rights and the rule of law.”
If Annan believes this (which is questionable) he conveniently ignores the concept of “legal plunder.” In Frederick Bastiat’s book “The Law” he explains the significance of this oxymoron. Legal plunder is the act of twisting existing laws into other than what they mean, enabling people in power to steal from the public, legally. And now, with the law meaning something other than its intention, there is nothing the public can do about it. If you don’t see this happening consistently in the Bush administration you’re not paying attention.
Lesson: “In today’s world, we are all responsible for each other’s security.”
We are not, and never were, responsible for anyone’s security but own. If we are, it follows that we are irresponsible if we don’t rush in to protect any country that calls upon us to save it. This erroneous assumption is what, in some eyes, makes us the world’s policeman. And THAT preposterous idea is exactly what has gotten our country into most of our wars---certainly the war in Iraq. Putting the shoe on the other foot, what if OUR security is threatened? For example, who is rushing to help us secure our own southern borders threatened by foreign intruders? Nobody. Not even our own government.
Lesson: “We are responsible for each other’s welfare.”
This is Marxist socialism in an insidious form. Taking from one to give to another is an “altruistic” form of robbery, which is really one of the worst kind. Why? Because it is banditry under the guise of pity and compassion. For those who need help there are plenty of sources—churches, donor gifts, clinics, charities, shelters, family help, money counseling, etc---and these voluntary forms of “welfare” is how we care for our less affluent. But it should end there. Welfare has become government’s lever for prying sustenance from some citizens to give to others. We were all CREATED equal, but we were not BORN equal. Socialism trying to make it so is one of the crimes of our times.
Lesson: “How can states hold each other to account? Only through multilateral institutions.”
Here, Annan’s pitch for the New World Order is clear as crystal. The need for “multilateral institutions” necessarily means a loss of sovereignty for any nation that subscribes to this felonious idea. America was hatched out of a special egg. Our founding fathers had to cast off all dependency, all tyranny, all religious oppression, and all “multilateral” thinking. They blessed us by making us strike out on our own. That is the only way on earth America was able to become a new nation of free, independent, and self-reliant people. The New World Order cabal would like nothing better than for us to join the “multilateral institutions” thereby lowering our principles and values, and “enjoy” equal status with “lesser” nations; many like those our founders sacrificed so much to free us from. In America, we cherish our sovereignty. And God help those who try to “multilateral” it away from us.
Secretary Annan, rating the value of your lessons, I believe a “D-” would be a generous score.
