Too Many Teenagers Are Out Of Control

There's a noticeable element in our society that is anarchistic. They walk around with a bad attitude, intimidating those around them whom their see are beneath them in their weird, sadistic pecking order.
Too many of these “mini-gangs” are out of control, just waiting to start trouble in places where people congregate and see them in their threatening appearance.
Such a scene broke out at the Monmouth mall in Eatontown Saturday February 10, a cold, bitter night.

EATONTOWN – Fourteen police agencies responded to calls for backup Saturday night at the Monmouth Mall after a fight broke out and an estimated crowd of 75 formed and threatened the two officers who were trying to break it up.
Patrolman David Brown and Brett Paulus, who were assigned to foot patrol at the mall, responded to a fight near the Food Court.
As the officers were breaking it up, a crowd of mostly juveniles and young men and women formed and became uncooperative.
At one point, members of the crowd became hostile toward Brown and one person approached him with a closed fist “in a tumultuous manner” as Brown was attempting to arrest a young person who was resisting the arrest, police said.
“The crowd started to advance on the officers. They (the crowd) refused to disperse, and they acted in a threatening manner,” police said.
The officers called for backup, and police officers and security eventually were able to quell the crowd.
Two 17-year-old boys form Sharon Hill, Pa.; a 15-year-old girl from Farmingdale, and a 15-year-old boy from Neptune were charged with disorderedly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing the law. Their names were not released.
The following police agencies responded: Deal, Fair Haven, Fort Monmouth, Little Silver, Long Branch, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department, Ocean Township, Oceanport, Red Bank, Rumson, Sea Bright, Shrewsbury, Tinton Falls and West Long Branch, in addition to Eatontown police and mall security.
I’ve lived for some 35 years next to the Monmouth Mall off Wyckoff Road. During those 35 years, may wife and I and our two daughters and three granddaughters have shopped there, had lunch and dinner there, and just enjoyed window-shopping.
The Monmouth Mall was always a place that families would go to, whether it was to enjoy the Food Court, go to the movies, or just walking around shopping.
What has happened since the mall opened 42 years ago?
What’s happened is that our urban-suburban society has dramatically changed since the evolution of politically-correct parents, teachers, police and anyone in a position of authority. They brush it off with, “Oh, they’re just kids.”
Yes. Spoiled brats who have no fear of authoritative figures. Just look at how many murders are committed by teenagers in recent years. It’ll get worse, unless we apply the same disciplinary standards that my generation imposed on their children.
Don’t bet on it. Even some judges aren’t enforcing the law, for fear of retaliation from a politically-correct, brainwashed society.
