SOME MISSING LINKS TO 9/11
By James T. Moore (03/23/07)
I think I know exactly how you feel: after four years, if you hear one more reference to the tragedy of September 11 you’ll walk out of the room and maybe go bowling. I wouldn’t blame you. 9/11 has been the object of more talk, investigation, speculation, theories, and alleged criminal conspiracies than probably any national tragedy in America’s history.
And yet, it appears that we are no closer to that illusive thing called Truth than we were five years ago. The biggest reason for this is that when the government, in any way, is suspected of being involved in the tragedy, the initial reaction from the general public is disbelief: how could any person or persons in our “good” government be even capable of thinking such things, let alone act on them?
And so it is that Truth has a way of being evasive, sometimes for years, but in the end the facts are made known. It is known now, for example, that President Wilson was somehow complicit in bringing America into World War I. And it now is evident that President Roosevelt was somehow complicit in instigating a war with Japan, to get us into a battle with the Axis powers. Both instances unimaginable, but true.
In the case of the 9/11 tragedy, however, there is one bright light in the darkness, which we didn’t have in 1917 or 1941: higher-level investigative analyses by men of experience, integrity, expertise and courage. And what are they finding? That the official conclusion regarding 9/11 reached by this administration is a whitewash, filled with omissions, ambiguities, errors and outright lies.
Here, in brief, are some of their comments:
Lt. Col. Stephen L. Butler. EdD, U. S. Air Force, (ret): “Of course Bush knew about the impending attacks on America. He did nothing to warn the American people because he needed this war on terrorism.”
Philip J. Berg, Former Deputy Attorney General, Penna: “There is overwhelming evidence that Bush and his cronies made 9/11 happen, or let it happen. And if they let it happen, then they made it happen. Either way, they are responsible, and more important, they have completely and unequivocally covered it up!”
Representative Kurt Weldon, Penna- in a speech on the floor of Congress 10/19/05: “I am not a conspiracy theorist, but there is something desperately wrong, Mr. Speaker. There is something outrageous at work here. This is not a third-rate burglary of a political campaign headquarters. This involves the covering up of information that led to the deaths of 3,000 people, changed the course of history, led to the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, and has disrupted our country, our economy, and peoples’ lives.”
Cpt. Eric May, U.S. Army, Ret.: “I view the 9/11 event as something that implies either (A) passive participation by the Bush White House trough a deliberate stand-down of proper defense procedures, or (B) active execution of a plot by rogue elements of government, starting with the White House itself, in creating a spectacle of destruction that would lead the United States into an invasion of the Middle East.”
Col. Robert Bowman, U.S. Air Force Ret. : “Who gained from 9/11? And who put out the patently false stories about 9/11? I think the case is pretty clear that it’s highly-placed administration individuals with all roads passing through Dick Cheney. I think the kindest thing we can say about George W. Bush and the people in the U.S. Government that have been involved in this massive cover-up, is that they were aware of impending attacks, and let them happen. Now some people will say that’s much too kind, however even that is high treason and conspiracy to commit murder.”
Norm Mineta, Former Transportation Secretary, interviewed by Congressman Lee Hamilton: “There was a young man who came in and said to the vice president: ‘The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out.’ When it got down to 10 miles out, the young man said to the vice president, ‘Do the orders still stand?’ the vice president whipped his head around and said, ‘Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?’ Well, at that time I didn’t know what all that meant and___”
Lee Hamilton: “The flight you’re referring to is the---“
Mineta: “The flight that came into the Pentagon.”
Twenty four hours after this interview, Mineta resigned.
All this reveals two things to this writer: first, it seems to explain why so many staff members of the Bush administration have resigned during his tenure, and second, if more of us paid attention to what these people are telling us, maybe we won’t have to wait 30 or 40 years to put this rogue administration out of business.
