Stand Up To Terrorists Today, Or Lose It All Later!

I’m sitting in Florida’s Fort Myers Airport on a sunny April day, waiting for a flight to Newark Airport. The plane is two hours later.
Already, I’ve waited an hour going through the Homeland Security “shakedown,” removing my shoes, my belt, wrist watch, wedding band, coins, cell phone, sun glasses and other metals in my clothing or on my body.
There are scores of TSA workers wearing their sharp white shirts with black pants and shores. Neat and clean.
The airport warning system reminds us we’re on “Orange Alert.” That’s only one short of “Red Alert.”
I sit here, fuming. All of this madness because of one mad terrorist leader – Osama bin Laden, who took out 3,000 in a matter of minutes, destroying the World Trade Center twin towers, a piece of America’s Pentagon military headquarters and a jet plane full of passengers heading for either our nation’s Capitol or White House before crashing to a field in western Pennsylvania – a 9/11/01 disaster costing our country trillions of dollars…with homeland Security bankrupting our bloated federal budget.
And the mass murderer Osama bin Laden is still hiding out somewhere in the White Mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan, protected by his gang of terrorists.
Welcome to the 21st Century and the world of Osama bin Laden and Western Civilization’s global war on terror led by USA’s
President George W. Bush, a true anti-terrorist leader.
If the terrorists win, the civilized world will be wiped out – “Off With Our Heads!”
This is a global war between two different worlds: Homicidal and suicidal terrorists versus all Christians, Jews and “infidels” (which are everybody except Islamic extremists.
Most Americans still don’t understand this. Most Americans were not impacted by 9/11 ‘Ground Zero.’ Only the greater New York metro region reaching out to an open field in Pennsylvania bore the brunt of the first terrorist attack on America. The rest of America was safe – and they still don’t get it.
All of which puts our patriotic President in a precarious position as the leader of the Free World. Our liberalized-socialized society is opposed to the war on terror. Those who are anti-war take their freedom for granted. Those who don’t take their freedom for grant are committed to winning the war on terror.
What it all comes down to is: “You’re either with us, or against us,” which is the President’s wart-time policy.
The last big war on terror was fought a thousand years ago. It lasted a hundred years and was known as “The Crusades.”
This global war is now in its fifth year. But today there are 6.5 billion people on the planet – not a few million a millennium ago. The stakes are much higher today. Today we all live in a “Global Village,” where the body count in any war is announced every day around the world. Not so a thousands years ago.
Will Western Civilization survive the global war on terror?
It’s either fight now, or lose it all later.
I prefer to stand up NOW – while we still can.
