Virginia Tech & Cho Seung-Hui's Liberal Plays

It seems odd that when Cho Seung-Hui's professor read his plays she though he was disturbed just because of a little sex and violence? Hadn't this literature professor ever seen a liberal play before? Hadn't she heard of Quinton Tarantino's chic, edgee, liberal films? Hadn't she ever gone to a movie? Hadn't she ever lived in America?
This writer recently went to a play at a very public mainstream theater that started with a woman taking off all her clothes, and the stage being covered with plastic. The plastic was there so the fake blood of 30 husbands, who were to be murdered by their wives during honeymoon sex, would not mess up the theater. The play was so wonderfully modern, liberal, progressive, and complex. It turned out that the marriages in question were arranged marriages to which the brides secretly objected, and so to express their objections they knifed their husbands several times in the back rather than let them finish their first ill gotten marital orgasms. Yes yes it was a lot of murder, sex, blood, and violence but heck it was for a worthy liberal feminist cause. And ya know, let's never mind that American kids see American culture too, and that sexual crimes and crimes in general are up about 5 times from what they were in the Republican 1950's. And let's not mind that we were attacked on 9/11, in part, because of the way our crude cultural subverts more conservative cultures all around the world .
Oh, and if you smugly take comfort dismissing the Muslims as nut cases then you ought to wonder why the Europeans express many of the same concerns, albeit less violently, about our wonderful liberal culture. And then there are the Indian Hindu's who today are burning Richard Gere in effigy in protest over his liberal embrace of their Bollywood Star. Ah, but there are a few billion Chinese and Japanese, but damn, they too are also very contemptuous of our liberal culture. So, sadly, it would appear that much of the world hates us, and in fact polls show they do regard us as the biggest threat on the planet, and that is to say nothing of their feeling regarding our military imperialism to which the also object rather vehemently.
One can fairly surmise that had Cho Seng-Hui stayed in conservative Korea he would have been emotionally disturbed too, but that in America's violent, blood drenched liberal cultural his illness was dramatically nurtured in a very violent direction. Perhaps the sexual element in his crime is all traceable back to America's first sexual liberal: Hugh Hefner, who fought so successfully against repressed conservative Republicans to separate sex from love, marriage, and children. Then there was the pill, no fault divorce, and feminism (all of which were resisted by Republicans ) which combined to make sex free, purely recreational, very public, and very loveless, exactly as feminists wanted it. When it was a sacred and private part of a loving family feminists had no access with which to free women from marital oppression. But now they have shaped what is perhaps our most powerful instinct into something crude at best, and hip hop violent at worst, when it had been miraculously harnessed in a way to encourage love, family, and, children - the bedrock of civilization.
The liberal right to non sexual violence grew out of, in large part, Vietnam, the Civil Rights movement, divorce and liberal artists. Liberals had always hated America since Marx taught them that Communism was loving and capitalism was hating; so when conservative America attacked an insane communist dictator ( Ho Chi Ming) the liberals felt justified in using violence in the streets to attack the Republican status quo in all its forms. Similarly, blacks were taught to hate a corrupt, racist America and that a little street crime and violence against it was perhaps a legitimate way to balance the scales or express their legitimate hatred of an oppressive America . Then there was the divorce revolution in which feminists (and their huge army of guilty liberal male supporters) taught men that they could be violently torn from their children but still find another purpose in life. They didn't find such a purpose unless you call random sex and violence such a purpose? And then there is the Hollywood liberal community who has to explain Republican decadence to us every night on prime time TV to make sure we learn the lessons well. And finally the is the Quentin Tarantino left whose extreme artistic sensibilities lead them to an appreciation and respect for violence. After all, human kind does have an oedipal, carnivorous, and reproductively violent genetic evolution that Freudian America must indulge from time to time lest it be repressed and then manifested in some untoward Republican way. Tarantino's latest gift of haute culture features a female amputee who recovers nicely with an innovative dual purpose prosthesis that is at once once is a leg and a machine gun.
This violent liberal synergy gave American blacks, for example, an illegitimacy rate of 70% and young black males an incarcerations rate of around 50%, and it gave us all the violent glories of hip hop culture. Warren Beatty once described hip hop as a "voice that will be heard". You might call it liberal genocide but whatever it is, there is a new liberal violence unleashed in America. Add Cho Seung-Hui to this witches brew of destructive liberal culture, which teaches that there is nothing external to respect, and you have the violent, paranoid, narcissistic, alienation that led to the massacre at Virginia Tech, 17,000 thousand murders a year (up from 9000 in Republican 1960), 93,000 rapes (versus 17,000 in 1960), 417,000 robberies (versus 107,000 in 1960), and 862,000 assaults (versus 154,000 in 1960).
If you are comforting yourself by not "politicizing" Cho at a time like this or by dismissing him as a merely a disturbed, depressed, loner, just remember that such people in Europe, India, China, and Japan don't do what Cho did. It would seem you have to be a liberal American, disturbed, depressed, loner to do what he did, and it would seem the entire world is increasingly aware of it. But why aren't our liberal Democrats aware of it?
