New Jersey Parents Being Ripped Off By Gov. Jim McGreevey

In quite possibly the most blatant display of hypocrisy ever displayed by a former public official, former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey is now teaching ethics to young men and women at a New Jersey public college. Last November, Kean University located in Union hired the disgraced McGreevey to teach a course in ethics, law and leadership.
Gov. Jim McGreevey resigned office in 2004 as a result of several scandals in which he was personally involved. The most infamous was his involvement with his homeland security adviser Golan Cipel. After a short eight months at New Jersey's Homeland Security post, Cipel resigned due to complaints that he lacked any experience to hold the job. Cipel not only lacked any relevant experience, but he could not get approval for a security clearance because he was not even a U.S. citizen.
Golan Cipel is in fact an Israeli citizen who Gov. McGreevey met while visiting Israel in 2000. Amid growing criticism and fearing that the truth would surface, McGreevey asked Cipel to resign his post. Though Cipel initially complied, he eventually sought to regain his job and brought a sexual harassment suit against the New Jersey governor. By August 2004, the story of McGreevey's sordid relations with Cipel began to surface, the governor held a press conference in which he announced that he was a homosexual and had a sexual relationship with Cipel. Though McGreevey also announced his resignation at the press conference, he would not actually leave office for another three months.
In addition to McGreevey rewarding his homosexual lover and frequent traveling companion with a lucrative and prestigious state job, his administration was found to have awarded many no-bid contracts to companies which had donated large sums of money to McGreevey's campaign as well as the New Jersey Democratic Party.
Though McGreevey says he never had any doubt he was homosexual, he has been married twice and was unfaithful to both women, while leading a very promiscuous gay lifestyle. In McGreevey's book "The Confession," he details years of trolling for homosexual encounters at dirty book stores and truck stops along the New Jersey turnpike.
During a 2006 appearance on the Oprah Show, McGreevey said: "There was no gay bar I could go into without being discovered. So the only place that I could discover who I was, sadly, in places of anonymity, places in dark shadows where I could begin to experiment sexually. I'd never been in a gay relationship that was loving, that was tender...that was anything more than a couple hours long."
The man who now teaches ethics to college students has even confessed to once having engaged in homosexual sex in an alley behind a Washington D.C. synagogue.
Oblivious to the dishonesty and disregard for the citizens of New Jersey which McGreevey showed while governor, Kean University hired him to teach ethics to their students. President of Kean University Dawood Farahi released the following statement concerning McGreevey: "For a university like us to have the ability of a former governor for what we pay him, it's an opportunity for our students we shouldn't miss."
I wonder how many parents now sending their children to Kean University believe that having the liar and serial sodomizer Jim McGreevey in a position of authority over those children is an "opportunity?"
