The Loss of a Fellow Believer

I was driving home from work when I first heard the sad news of the passing of the great Christian leader, Jerry Falwell. Mr. Falwell will be missed by thousands of Christians. He may very well be remembered for his stance on moral values and turning America back to repentance through Jesus Christ as is taught in the Bible. He was a great leader and a great inspiration to me personally.

I am currently studying the book of Jeremiah where God uses Jeremiah to preach repentance to a people who has strayed from God. I see much of that in America today and I believe that Mr. Falwell was doing the work of God in calling Christians to take a stand on right and wrong, good and evil, and for America to repent before it's too late.

While Mr. Falwell has passed away, his life is not over, but just beginning. One glad day, we will all be together in Glory where there is no more death, sin, disease, hunger, war, or anything derived from sin. One day we can look forward to the Second Coming of Christ and His kingdom and I believe Mr. Falwell will be waiting for us there. All of our those who have been saved by the blood of Christ and gone on before us will be.
