U.S. And Worldwide Media Agree: America Is Evil
By Gordon Bishop (05/21/07)
The above headline caught my eye in The Washington Times the other day. It was Bill O'Reilly's syndicated column, one of the most powerful media giants in America, together with his nightly, prime-time popular TV program, "The O'Reilly Factor," and his best-selling books and his huge website a global audience.
As a fellow syndicated columnist, I knew exactly what OâReilly was up against, as I also worked 37 years at two major liberal New Jersey newspapers. I was their reporter/columnist on mostly environmental issues, as they related to our national economy and our federal and state governments.
The Far Left ultimately hi-jacked the environmental movement, leading to overkill regulations and the current âGlobal Warmingâ junk science which the nationâs leading meteorologists tell us has nothing to do with human activities. The lone culprit is the hellish hot sun in our solar system. Itâs the sun alone that determines whether the earth is in a cooling or warming cycle.
In the 1970s and â80s, the eco-extremists proclaimed the earth is heading into an âIce Age.â Thatâs right! A planet covered with ice and frost. By the 1990s, these same extremists predicted that earth is heading into a hot and deadly âGlobal Warmingâ cycle.
Itâs all nonsense.
As to an evil America, OâReilly sees the roots of that propaganda as our own citizens portraying the USA as evil. Again, the same Leftists blame all of this today on our current President, who just happens to be a moderate Republican. âModerateâ is a code word for âLiberal.â
Whether George W. Bush is a conservative or liberal is not the issue. The issue is that the U.S. and worldwide media are orchestrating a global âhate Americaâ campaign. Much of this hatred stems from the fact that America is the most successful nation in the history of civilization. We are the most prosperous and most powerful country in the world. We spend our taxpayersâ money, sending billions of dollars a year to those less fortunate than we are. We call it âforeign aid.â Actually, weâre trying to buy those less fortunate folks with American greenbacks.
Itâll never happen. It wonât work.
You canât change the human condition of envy and jealousy with billions in foreign aid. Only the people themselves can change their destiny. It begins with education and an inner drive to become the best you can be.
We in America are fortunate in that we are free to be whatever we want to be
Our problem is our expanding government. Weâve become a nanny socialist state, pursuing costly, wasteful entitlements for those who havenât made it.
As we know, thereâs no such thing as a âfree lunch.â The money comes from only one source: The taxpayer.
So who gets to divvy up the Marxist pie? A Marxist government, whose motto is âredistribution of money.â That,s what our tax system is all about: Tax, Tax, Tax the workers until they cry âUncle!â
Weâve been crying âUncleâ over the past 50 years, but government keeps on growing, expanding and imposing more and more invasive taxes on all of us.
Our latest governor, Jon Corzine, promised all of us when he was campaigning for the chief executiveâs job that, if elected, he would reduce taxes by 30 percent.
Our state budget has shot up from $29 billion to $33 billion this coming fiscal year, and Corzine hasnât even been in office two full years.
Taxpayers are not only hurting, but theyâre voting for the wrong candidates for public office.
Weâve been living under a two-party system for many years. What we really need is an independent third-party not beholden to the special interests that control our mendacious government.
The Democrats have failed us.
The Republicans have failed us.
Theyâve joined forces to become what we now have as a one-party system: The Republicrats.
Itâs time to look at an independent party â perhaps the Libertarians. They believe the âbest government is less government.â
Taxpayers and workers believe that the best government is less government.
So letâs do it!
Letâs vote for Libertarian candidates who remain clean and pure simply because theyâre out of office.
If elected, will they remain clean and pure by serving the pubic interests, rather than the special interests?
Itâs a chance worth taking before our federal and state governments file for bankruptcy because taxpayers can no longer afford their corrupt two-party system.
