"Government is not a solution to our problem[s],
government is the problem." -- Ronald Reagan

It's Time to Worry about Global COOLING

"...an utterly corrupt new religion called environmentalism..."
If the history of this planet's climate over millions of years is any guide, we are about to enter a new ice age.

CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper indicated in a 1993 interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he wants to see the United States become a Muslim country.
Critical Mass: Factor 3
By Erik Rush (06/06/07)

Never before has there been a more poignant case than presently exists for the current level of disillusionment and cynicism amongst Americans or reason for their fundamental misgivings concerning the legitimacy of the Federal government as a whole.

Unlike ideologues and the less informed among us, I have always attempted to give the benefit of the doubt to politicians inside whose minds I am unable to psychically probe and whose actions have not yet given sufficient indication to which side of the line they fall regarding dedication to The United States of America versus vainglory and self-aggrandizement. Obviously, many politicians on both sides of the aisle tend toward inscrutability in this area, strongly suggesting that they are consummate prostitutes at heart who fall on the latter sign of the line.

Indeed, certain elements of the media and corporate America have been scrutinized in the same manner by astute Americans, but in the case of our civil servants it is more than a matter of ideals or ethics; it is a matter of solemn legal responsibility.

Three factors that have monopolized the airwaves and print media of late – immigration reform and border control, the timetable for U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and the cycle of price gouging vis-à-vis the petroleum industry – have finally convinced me that a far greater number of American politicians than I’d ever imagined are not only consummate prostitutes (CPs, if you will) at heart, slavishly dedicated to their own self-interest, but so craven, arrogant and short-sighted that they are unable to see beyond their own tenure in office, let alone generations down the line.

“This Bill does not grant amnesty”
- President G.W. Bush, May 24, 2007

A bigger crock I’ve never heard. Even Dick Morris, one of our savviest political analysts and former Clinton aide, has bought into the McCain-Kennedy Immigration Bill – and he ought to know better.

The Bill’s proponents have been spinning our heads with the same tired theoretical explanations of this convoluted legislation (explained in detail by the American Immigration Lawyers Association [AILA]), the incomprehensible benefits to all of Earth’s creatures and how swimmingly it’s going to work.

The rub, as it were, which ought to be obvious to everyone except very young children and institutionalized individuals is the fact that illegal aliens from Mexico are simply not going to comply. One would be hard-pressed to get $5,000 out of me to remain in the United States; where these immigrants, whom I surmise are making less money than I am (although one never knows) and will be disinclined to raise it to boot are going to do so is a question no one seems willing to raise, let alone answer.

Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez has been making the rounds of radio talk shows, sounding tough and outlining this mind-boggling absurdity – rather well, I might add – but the sad reality is that the hoops they’re requiring prospective émigrés to jump through – never mind the financial requisites – have to be belly laughs to the average American. I imagine the drug dealers, assorted felons, sex traders, terrorists and 30,000 gang members already here illegally are finding it positively hysterical.

The veil is so thin that the Republican power brokers backing McCain-Kennedy were suddenly revealed – at least to me – as CPs; in his May 24 oratory, President Bush’s tone smacked of the bitterness and anger of one who has just finished performing an unsavory sex act with a pistol to their head.

On the other side, no doubt American Pelosians are enraged that the reality (a term with which our current congressional majority is evidently unfamiliar) of politics, prudence, and the will of the American people precluded the instantaneous transportation of American troops from Iraq to stateside assignments they thought would materialize five minutes after the new Congress took power. I mean, couldn’t we just have them all hop in their little Humvees and drive to the airfields, get on those great big C-5A transport planes and head home? No doubt the Nancy Pelosi Mafia look like CPs to their pathologically neurotic core followers.

To be fair, President Bush stood firm, knowing he could get away with the standoff.

Also to be fair, I must then pose the question: Where was this sternness and resolve respecting Iraq when the President’s party was in a position of strength? Why did the Republican leadership walk on eggshells when they had a mandate to dispatch an enemy who has proved to be as cruel and ruthless as the creatures from the “Alien” films?

Because too many of them are CPs – that’s why. Playing games with an opposition party that abstains from exercising such restraint as a matter of course, maintaining façades and constructing legacies when the real threat exists that they’re will be no one around to remember them or how smooth they were.

“Here we have a serious problem: America is addicted to oil…”
- President G.W. Bush, January 31, 2006

I will leave aside the fact that our president made a lot of money in oil, and for good reason: Lots of people are making money in oil: Aside from executives and large shareholders, there are prominent news media personalities who defend oil companies and Americans of all political stripes (including powerful politicians) who are financially invested in oil.

Efforts of the environmental lobby have resulted in such restrictive legislation and regulation that oil companies don’t have enough latitude to deliver larger volumes of crude. Environmentalists reason that this will motivate “someone” to pull the blueprints for a clean-burning car from “The Jetsons” out of their rear. This hasn’t yet happened, which is actually quite convenient, since the high demand versus low supply benefits the oil industry.

Oil money subsidizes politicians on both sides of the aisle, and it doesn’t just come from American interests. This of course compromises our national security, but if one is a CP, compromising national security is no more an issue to lose sleep over than pushing restrictive legislation on oil companies that will ultimately hurt consumers. The Federal government and state governments all reap more in tax dollars for every dollar Americans pay at the pump. Where’s the motivation to decrease dependence on oil? The necessity only exists in the mind of the average American, who remains over the proverbial (oil) barrel.

I believe that the majority of Americans, regardless of party affiliation, share one vision for America; it’s a vision of the kind of unity that manifested on September 12, 2001. Most Americans do not believe that other Americans who disagree with them are inherently evil, as the divisive socialist scourge amongst us proffer through the mainstream media.

Nor do I believe that the majority of Americans will approve of the emerging oligarchy when they realize it actually exists, that for which political lines are only a tool to divide, conquer and enslave Americans. This currently consists of far-Left fanatics who literally wish to rule, ignorant, soulless narcissists in the entertainment industry, megalomaniacs in the news media, corporate money-worshippers, RINO (Republican in Name Only) Republicans and a relative handful of fanatical special interest activists.

Ironically, the solution will have to come from something that manipulators on both the far Right and far Left espouse insincerely: Unity. Unless the majority of Americans realize that we are actually the majority despite belonging to different political parties that have been corrupted in varied ways, we will be relegated to overlordship by those sufficiently self-obsessed that they will indeed be fiddling while Rome burns.

The United States Is Being Overthrown By Our Politicians - "A silent but all-reaching coup is taking place within the United States. This coup is not being directed by bomb-laden Muslim terrorists, nor will it ever be covered by the mainstream media. The seditious act is being carried out by our very own elected officials, with President Bush leading the insurrection."

"The FDA has conveniently used the excuse of looking out for consumer safety to increase their perverse regulatory power, undermine free speech, disrupt commerce, and generally get in the way of helping people improve their health. The "half-truth" of the safety issue is used as a ploy to reduce the rights of Americans, one freedom at a time. Once again, the FDA is seeking more police power to intimidate supplement companies. This is one step in an overall FDA master plan to eliminate therapeutic nutritional supplements from the free market. Those who lose are the American public." The FDA - A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
