They Ain't Makin' Jews Like Jesus Anymore

All right, I admit it, I'm not a nice guy. In the words of Billy Joe Shaver, I'm "lonesome, on'ry and mean." In fact, I don't pretend to be a nice guy; if I pretend at all, I try to give the impression that I am a dangerous hillbilly that should not be messed with. I'll even quote the movie "Deliverance" from time to time, just to drive home that point. In all honesty though, I'm not that bad; I'm just a normal American man. The other day, though, while Palestinians were shooting little Jewish girls and refusing to stop terrorist attacks on the "road to peace," it hit me just how much better most Israelis are than I.
If, for instance, Canada were to declare war on the United States, and if crazed Canadians were bombing grocery stores and shooting American children in the street, I'd get mad. I would do exactly what most red blooded American men would do: I'd strap on my big, magnum revolver, grab my shot gun and deer rifle, and drive to Canada. There, I would attempt to kill ten Canadians for every American killed. For around two hundred years, that has been the American way; and, it worked. Think of the bloody battles of the Revolutionary War, the Indian wars, or Sherman's raid on the South; Sherman burned whole cities to the ground, and killed men, women and children just like the generals of history before him. Think of the wars of attrition and the mass bombing raids of World War I, or of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki that ended World War II. America has a history of making it clear to our enemies, that if they mess with us, they will arouse a "sleeping giant" that will trample them into the mud. It is only with the advent of modern weapons that allow precision targeting that we have changed our tactics of warfare. Mass civilian casualties used to be a given in any war. Now, our technology allows a more humanitarian morality.
The Palestinian terrorists have no morality that can be understood by most members of Western Civilization. They hide in neighborhoods and target civilians; they have no concept of collateral damage. Were I an Israeli, I would bring the war home to them in the violent terms that they understand. The Israelis, however, do not do that. While the Palestinians target civilians, Israeli's target only terrorists. According to many polls, most Israelis don't even want to do that. Kinky Friedman's song may say, "they ain't makin' Jews like Jesus anymore," but the Israelis are better at turning the other cheek than most Christians, and most people in general. I simply cannot understand the morality that allows your enemies to kill your friends and family with impunity. Not only is this what the Israelis do, but it is what the world demands of them. If any of us were to abandon our dichotomous ethics regarding this conflict, we would say to the Israelis, "You've given them every chance, go ahead and nuke the bastards before they destroy you!"
Sadly, though, there are many among us that would have America adopt the same suicidal outlook that they demand of Israel. These are the moral relativist liberals who refuse to recognize the threat posed by America's enemies. A recent BBC poll found the following opinions of America among the world's people:
The survey of 11 countries - for the television programme What The World Thinks of America, to be aired this week in the UK - revealed that 57% of the sample had a very unfavourable, or fairly unfavourable attitude towards the American President. The figure rose to 60% when discounting the views of the American respondents. The survey - conducted for the BBC by ICM and other international pollsters - gauged opinion towards US military, economic, cultural and political influence. Over half the sample felt that the US was wrong to invade Iraq - this included 81% of Russian respondents, and 63% of the French response. Thirty-seven per cent thought it right to invade - including 54% of the UK response, 74% of the US response and 79% of the Israeli sample. Asked who is the more dangerous to world peace and stability, the United States was rated higher than al-Qaeda by respondents in both Jordan (71%) and Indonesia (66%). America was also rated more dangerous than two countries considered as "rogue states" by Washington. It was rated more dangerous than Iran, by people in Jordan, Indonesia, Russia, South Korea and Brazil, and more dangerous than Syria by respondents all the countries, except for Australia, Israel and the United States. The survey groups were also asked whether they felt that the American military did enough to avoid civilian casualties during conflicts. Seventy per cent of the group as a whole thought the US could do more - with the majority in each country bar the United States saying that more could be done, including 73% of respondents in the UK, 74% in France and 57% in Israel.

Add to these numbers the harsh realities that face us. Estimates by many different researchers find that between 15% and 50% of the world' Muslim peoples sympathize with Al Qaeda and express a shared opinion of their homicidal hatred of America. That means that hundreds of millions of people want us dead. Combine those numbers with the Leftist terrorist groups of South America and Mexico, the Leftists and Anarchists of Europe, and the environmental terrorists world wide and within our own nation that would see America fall.
Remedy: protect our sovereignty by protecting our borders.
When I review these numbers, I think that drastic actions are necessary to protect our nation. I think that we should immediately put a moratorium on all immigration. We should only allow people to enter our country if they have a United States citizen as a sponsor, and if both people pass an extensive background check. We should let few, if any immigrants and visitors in from countries that are known to sponsor terror. We must clamp down on our borders, with troops and fences; illegal immigration must be stopped. Being from a rural area, I have worked with Mexican immigrants whom I later learned were here illegally. I found them to be good, honest, hard working people. They were the kind of people America needs as citizens. Unfortunately, if they can sneak in, so can terrorists. We must allow only legal immigration by those who would swear loyalty to our nation. This would also cut down on drug smugglers and criminals such as Enrique Sosa Alvarez, a.k.a. David Montiel Cruz, who kidnapped and raped a 9 year old girl in California a few weeks ago, predators and parasites who take advantage of America's largess and freedom. I would also urge for civil defense initiatives. Our police forces cannot be everywhere at once.
In today's politically correct atmosphere, my views on immigration must seem extreme. They should not; not only is regulating immigration essential to keep our enemies out during times of war, but regulations like these used to be the norm. When my ancestors came here from Ireland, Scotland, England, France and Germany, they did so legally. They came on ships, to specific immigration centers. There, they were screened for diseases, criminal backgrounds and malevolent ideologies. Those carrying diseases, and those whose loyalties were questionable (especially anarchists) were turned away or quarantined. The majority of those refused entrance for disease died, and many of the anarchists and criminals returned to prisons. America is a nation of immigrants, but not a nation of enemies. Our motto is "Out of many, one," not "out of many, a bunch of terrorists, predators and parasites seeking to destroy our nation." Somewhere in recent years our legislators have signed a national suicide pact on our behalf by proclaiming diversity to be more important than sovereignty and common sense.
Of course, the Department of Immigration, along with our nation's liberals react very differently to the above facts. Their response is to fling open the borders, and do everything possible to allow more people of murderous intent to enter. I wonder, though, would those liberals and beaurocrats of such high moral character leave open the doors to their homes? Surely, what's good for the nation must be good for the individual citizen. They should invite the rapists, murders, thieves and muggers into their homes. What's more, they should adopt these degenerates, and add them to their insurance policies, buy their groceries, pay for their education and fund their retirement. That is what liberals demand of the taxpayer: why not lead by example?
If our nation is to survive, if Israel is to survive, if the civilized world is to withstand the assault of barbarians, we must adopt some old fashioned values. If we are not to be murdered and enslaved by the Islamic-fascists and the modern Luddites, we must be willing to fight for our survival. Lofty notions of the brotherhood of man, utopian visions of peace on earth and oppositions to "profiling" must take a back seat to harsh reality. A man has not but what he will fight for.
