New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine Just Doesn't Get It!
By Gordon Bishop (07/30/07)
Why are liberals jumping on the Al Gore "Global Warming" wagon?
My own governor here in the Garden State, Jon Corzine, a certified super-wealthy, liberal-socialist, has just joined Al ‘The Sky Is Falling’ Gore on committing taxpayers of New Jersey to come up with the money to reduce carbon emissions in the most densely developed and populated State in the nation.
Once again, we have a governor who goes along with the libs’ Hollywood idols at the cost of wrecking New Jersey’s economy.
Hey, why should bearded Jon worry about carbon entering the environment from the air we humans exhale every few seconds, along with autos and industries that burn oil, coal or natural gas – all bad in the eyes of the extremist ecologists, those living in la-la land?
Doesn’t Corzine know that the fringe environmentalists are opposed to all forms of power plants, including nuclear and even wind generators off the Jersey Shore? Yep! Windmills are now part of their “visual pollution” agenda, if, of course, you’re among the Far Left anti-America movement.
Does Jon Corzine (forget about Gore, he’s lost it completely) really believe that New Jersey’s immeasurable carbon contribution will really alter the Earth’s weather patterns?
New Jersey government is now one of three liberal States that believe this unscientific hogwash. The other two liberal ‘no carbon’ States are California and Hawaii.
Human activities, folks, are not capable of changing the Earth’s temperature. Only the giant, gaseous helium sun in our solar system has the heat capacity to warm the Earth. When our powerful sun starts bursting flares into outer space, our planet becomes a degree or two warmer.
That happens every 1,500 years or so. And that’s been going on since planet Earth evolved from the “Big Bang” five billion years ago, along with our wonderful sun and our endless universe.
For some dumb reason, the liberal Left comes up with these brainless theories that humankind is killing our planet. In reality, pollution is a much more serious threat to our existence than the sun’s spontaneous flares. We can live with tropical temperatures quite nicely, thank you.
Think about it: Wouldn’t you rather be warm than cold? Warmth perpetuates life. Ice eradicates life except for a few cool species like penguins, polar bears and seals.
Calm down, you looney libs and socialists who worship at the altar of Karl Marx, the father of communism: A godless, classless society committed to the redistribution of wealth.
I prefer Freedom and the Right to become the best I can be with America’s inspiring Merit system. The better you become and the more you work (mostly with your brains), the greater the quality-of-life you enjoy.
No, we don’t need more liberal government and their ever-expanding and costly bureaucracies buried in mountains of rules and regulations and unstoppable paperwork.
We need independence, more self-sufficiency, accountability, responsibility – and less wasteful governmental intrusions into our lives, both private and public.
And now this: With Al Gore watching NJ Governor Jon Corzine signing the Global Warming Response Act into law, I knew for sure that Corzine will be another New Jersey one-term governor. Our last three liberal governors in the 1990s and to this day, have been losers, not winners. And this is in a State that has 1.8 million registered Democrats, and only 990,000 registered Republicans.
Personally, I’m an independent Libertarian and fiscal conservative. Less government is the best government.
A political friend of mine, an economics professor at a State College, and I, renamed the Democrat and Republican parties some 10 years ago as America’s new one-party system: The Republicrats! Yes, we can no longer distinguish a Democrat from a Republican.
Who’s liberal? Who’s Conservative?
Who knows?
That’s where we are in this once great nation of the brave and the free: A Republicrat system owned lock, stock and barrel by the special interests.
America’s voters and taxpayers have been reduced to lemmings racing to their imminent suicide, head first.
Wake up, America!
We’re losing our freedoms and our independence. We’ve become much too dependent on Big Brother, hoping the welfare state will take care of us from the cradle to the grave.
Bye-Bye, America!
Welcome the Gores and Corzines destroying our independence and freedom.
