The Time Is Right For A Third Party
By Dave Gibson (08/13/07)
It has never been more evident that the Republican and Democratic Parties have because so similarly corrupt and so oblivious to the will of the American people, the two parties are now indistinguishable from one another. It would be a fair assessment to say that the parties have simply merged into the right and left wings of the American Socialist Party.
For most of our lives, we have known the Democratic Party to be the party of big spending and big government. However, with the White House and Congress under Republican control, we saw incredibly irresponsible spending and the federal government grew larger and at a faster rate than it did even under the Johnson administration.
The Republican Congress gave us the $300 billion Highway Bill, the $400 billion Medicare Bill, increased financial aid to Africa and the Palestinians, and continued to throw good billions after bad in Iraq. though Iraq sits atop the second largest oil reserve in the world and President Bush told us that it would be the revenues from that oil which would pay for the war and Iraq's reconstruction, it is still the American people being forced to pay for that disaster.
While we have come to expect Democrats to be very weak on national defense, Republicans can no longer consider themselves to be strong on that issue. Bush and his merry band of non-serving neocons have frittered away the opportunity we had to lay the smackdown on the Muslim world. Waging a politically correct war with surgical strikes and absurd rules of engagement accomplishes nothing but getting our soldiers killed. Though our Muslim enemies are vicious and fight with no regard for human life, our troops are forced to adhere to the Marquis of Queensbury rules. When our Marines do to the enemy what Marines do, they are thrown into the brig at Camp Pendleton.
It is true that Bill Clinton gutted our military, but it is also true that Bush has demoralized them.
We know that the corpulent liberal Ted Kennedy has always pushed for the ability of illegal aliens to overrun this country, he is now joined by many senior Republican Senators such as John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Democrats want Mexican invaders here to provide more votes, while Republicans want them here to provide cheap labor for their bug business mandarins. Regardless of the reason, neither party is willing to defend our border and both have forsaken the American people.
Both parties have been co-opted by globalists as well as socialists. If this Republic is to survive in the mold it was designed, we the people must now abandon both parties the same way they have abandoned us. We must return to a Constitutional republic.
We must elect a nationalist in 2008. If we do not and simply accept another empty suit controlled by big business and the United Nations, we will not survive as the founding fathers envisioned.
It is time for a true change!
