Minorities Under-Represented in Iraq Fatalities

Just something I came across on this anti-war website(1):
Seems this author didn't trust the official statistics on US fatalities in Iraq, so he number-crunched it himself---including the determination of the race of the individual.
I took a screen shot (table above) of the table on this webpage. You can see that blacks are only slightly under-represented. Latinos are a bit more under-represented, per percentage of population---possibly because many Latinos in recent years have come to the US primarily for employment, and not because they love the US, its Constitution, or anything the US stands for as a nation.
(Illegal aliens from Mexico and South America want our jobs. Citizenship is an incidental matter, unless it can allow them to work in the US. They remain nationalistic to their native countries. They send their earnings to their families in their native countries. Democrats want to reward them with citizenship---and failing that, all the benefits of citizenship---in order to win elections. Why some Republicans, like President Bush, want to make them citizens may remain a great mystery.)
Without getting into a debate over the war itself, this information should lay to rest contentions that the war is grinding up blacks and minorities (or immigrants) like the Vietnam war had. (Sen John Kerry and Rep. Charles Rangel came closest to implying that, for example.)
Since the results of the data do not suggest the worst, the author cannot rant about Iraq being a racist war (etc.). All he can write in the way of "commentary" is this:
"The table below provides the race/ethnic composition of the US-uk fatalities, and the main objective is to determine if some minority groups are over-represented. The reader is responsible for the interpretation."

One thing the author implied is that Bush is hiding enemy and civilian casualty numbers for political reasons. In fact, it has been Pentagon policy since Vietnam not to report enemy and civilian casualties.
One of the reasons for that is that it provides intelligence information to the enemy. But it would also be misleading in the case of Iraq, in which there are far more civilian casualities from radical militias via sectarian strife, and from al qaeda purposely targeting civilians and journalists. Thus, without constantly reminding the public of this fact, publishing such data would lead to the US being blammed for civilian casualties.
Ironically, if the Pentagon had published data on enemy combattant casualties, it would be a propaganda coup, as thousands of al qaeda have been killed in Iraq, according to unofficial estimates.
