America's Going To Hell In A Hand-Basket

Frankly, folks, I just don't get it!
I was born and raised as a believer in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross to save humanity from the perils of purgatory and hell.
That happened some 2,000 years ago.
So here we are in the 21st Century, rewriting the Old and New Testaments and attacking our Judeo-Christian ethics, morals and values – the foundation of Western Civilization.
America today is rapidly evolving into a Godless, classless, immoral, secular society where “Anything Goes,” while destroying our Constitutional Republic in the process.
I’m constantly told by the Far Left liberal-socialists and the communist ACLU (American Civil – or ‘Criminal’— Liberties Union) that we have all the freedoms we want to do anything we want, regardless of the consequences.
You can forget about any “consequences” for your actions or behavior today, especially since President Clinton told a young and innocent generation that “Oral sex is not sex.” My wife stopped teaching public elementary school classes after that Clintonian pronouncement.
“Consequences”died in the cultural-sexual revolution of the 1960s, the blossoming of the Baby Boomer generation.
If it feels good, do it! – whether its wild sex, drugs or drinking until you drop.
What happened to accountability and responsibility for one’s actions?
They’ve been replaced by politically-correct “tolerance” and “equal rights” for everyone, no matter what their lifestyle is.
I’m living in a completely different world that I grew up in the 1940s and ‘50s. I no longer feel comfortable or safe in today’s indifferent and, yes, ignorant society.
Just look at our math and science scores. As a once great “Superpower,” the United States now ranks dead last in math and science skills. The Asians now rule the 21st Century hi-tech scoreboard.
This all leads me to what I really want to bring to your attention: The destruction of God and religion in liberal-socialist societies.
Here in my home state of New Jersey, there’s a historic battle going on between the Ocean Grove Methodist Camp Meeting Association and the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
Yes, that’s right – the State environmental department!
What in the world is an environmental, bureaucratic”State” agency doing making decisions on same-sex marriage?
Well, in New Jersey’s case, it has to do with the State’s Green Acres “grants” to Ocean Grove, which is a popular seashore resort. In New Jersey, once a town accepts State taxpayers money, they must play the State’s “equal rights” game.
Enter two elderly females who want to be “married” in the Methodist community’s religious pavilion. The religious organization that founded Ocean Grove is being forced to grant the couple the “right” to be married at the community’s religious pavilion, or pay back millions of dollars to the State Environmental Department that gave Ocean Grove all this money over the past 40 years for recreational and entertainment purposes.
The Methodist association maintains that the pavilion is a religious structure, much like its Tabernacle, and that the Methodist Book of Discipline forbids same-sex ceremonies in its religious structures.
I really don’t care about men “marrying” men or women “marrying” women. It’s none of my business. They can do whatever they want, as long as they don’t break any laws.
This is a classic case of “religious rights” being totally ignored by the State’s “equal rights” rules for all citizens.
In our liberal secular society today, there is absolutely no respect or recognition of “religious rights.” Out with God! Out with religion!
All I can say is, “God Bless America!”
It may be too late even for that “blessing” on New Jersey – and America.
“Anything Goes” rules the day!
