It's Time to Worry about Global COOLING

If the history of this planet's climate over millions of years is any guide, we are about to enter a new ice age.

Congress - 11% Approval Rating!
By JB Williams (09/26/07)

Who these law makers want you to vote for in ‘08 - Oddly enough, in an increasingly strange world of American politics, this almost makes sense!

The new Democrat congress recently made history by achieving the lowest public approval rating in U.S. history. The good news is; an 11% approval rating for congress means that there’s at least a chance that 89% of the country is coming to its senses…

In the old days, presidential candidates fought for the campaign endorsements of congressional leaders like they were gold. But with an 11% approval rating, (an 89% disapproval rating), congressional endorsements might be more like the kiss of death for any presidential candidate.

Who congress thinks you should vote for in ‘08?

In order of the most popular among members of congress to the least, here’s how the endorsement race shapes up, as reported by TheHill.com, and there could be some very interesting messages hidden in these numbers.

Candidate Congressional Endorsements

Hillary Clinton (D-NY) 62 (53H – 9S)

Mitt Romney (R) 31 (26H – 5S)

John McCain (R-AZ) 27 (18H – 9S)

Barack Obama (D-IL) 27 (26H – 1S)

Rudy Giuliani (R) 22 (21H – 1S)

Fred Thompson (R) 21 (17H – 4S)

John Edwards (D) 14 (14H – 0S)

Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) 9 (9H – 0S)

Bill Richardson (D) 7 (6H – 1S)

Duncan Hunter (R-CA) 6 (6H – 0S)

Mike Huckabee (R) 2 (2H – 0S)

Sam Brownback (R) 2 (1H – 1S)

Joe Biden (D-Del.) 1 (0H – 1S)

And just when you thought that there was nothing congress could agree upon, they were unanimous in whom they thought deserved absolutely NO vote of confidence at all. The following candidates were unable to garner a single endorsement of support from their friends in congress.

Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) -0-

Ron Paul(R-TX) -0-

Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) -0-

Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) -0-

With friends like this, who needs enemies? Then again, three of the four have worked hard to establish their “crackpot” status. Tancredo is the only sane one in this bunch.

Since 89% of Americans believe that congress sucks, how might Americans feel about congresses Presidential preferences?

Frankly, if I were Hillary Clinton, I’d be begging for no more damned endorsements. I’d also be keeping my NY (blue state) day job, since most of the very people 89% of Americans have no confidence in, happen to believe in me…

On the other hand, if I were one of the four that drew a blank from the folks who know me best, I’d be looking for a short rope and a tall tree. If after all these years in congress, I couldn’t find one single co-worker who would endorse me, I’d have to assume that I must really suck!

What else do the numbers tell us?

Well, they might tell us that congress believes none in this group have any chance of winning anything in ’08. (This makes sense)

Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) 9

Bill Richardson (D) 7

Duncan Hunter (R-CA) 6

Mike Huckabee (R) 2

Sam Brownback (R) 2

Joe Biden (D-Del.) 1

Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) -0-

Ron Paul(R-TX) -0-

Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) -0-

Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) -0-

And since we know that congress is full of self-indulgent megalomaniacs, always in search of people that they think they can control, they might be telling us that the following people are either too well aligned with a congress 89% of Americans disagree with, or maybe they’re just people they think they can control. (This makes sense too)

Hillary Clinton (D-NY) 62 Congressional Endorsements

Mitt Romney (R) 31 Congressional Endorsements

John McCain (R-AZ) 27 Congressional Endorsements

Barrack Obama (D-IL) 27 Congressional Endorsements

What about the people congress is less sure about?

Well, the numbers might indicate that they expect the following candidates to be a force to be reckoned with, but also people not so easily controlled?

Rudy Giuliani (R) 22 Congressional Endorsements

Fred Thompson (R) 21 Congressional Endorsements

John Edwards (D) 14 Congressional Endorsements

They also might see these men as not attractive to either political extreme, which means, they could be very attractive to the 89% of Americans who currently see members of congress as too extreme and in a state of perpetual gridlock as a result.

Of course, it’s anyone’s guess as to what these fools might be thinking. I’ve enjoyed my little adventure into the insane minds of our elected nut-jobs. Feel free to make up your own interpretations of these endorsements.

But one thing is certain –

The American people are not likely to take their presidential marching orders from folks with an 11% approval rating. Clearly, we don’t have much faith in what they think about anything!

If I were a candidate, I’d be carefully qualifying anyone looking to jump on my bandwagon. Dragging a bunch of losers along for the ride can end a campaign fast. If I was looking to attract 89% of the voters, I sure wouldn’t be climbing in bed with folks they don’t think much of!

The United States Is Being Overthrown By Our Politicians - "A silent but all-reaching coup is taking place within the United States. This coup is not being directed by bomb-laden Muslim terrorists, nor will it ever be covered by the mainstream media. The seditious act is being carried out by our very own elected officials, with President Bush leading the insurrection."

"The FDA has conveniently used the excuse of looking out for consumer safety to increase their perverse regulatory power, undermine free speech, disrupt commerce, and generally get in the way of helping people improve their health. The "half-truth" of the safety issue is used as a ploy to reduce the rights of Americans, one freedom at a time. Once again, the FDA is seeking more police power to intimidate supplement companies. This is one step in an overall FDA master plan to eliminate therapeutic nutritional supplements from the free market. Those who lose are the American public." The FDA - A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
