Virginia Public School Bans Pro-Life Movement

Colonial Forge High School located in rural Virginia, is the latest battleground in the left's struggle for the legitimization of infanticide. A female student tried to start a pro-life club at the school and was rejected by the school. Fortunately, this girl will not go quietly into the night as more than a million babies are killed every year and has now filed a lawsuit against the school board.
The high school's Principal Lisa Martin claims that she shot down the idea for the club because the pro-life agenda does not directly relate to the school's curriculum. She makes this claim while the school allows such clubs as the Young Democrats, the Young Republicans, and Students Against Destructive Decisions. Principal Martin recently told the student in a letter that the club "does not meet the standard of a direct curricular link."
Oh really?...How does the Young Democrats club "meet the standard of a direct curricular link?"...Oh now I remember...That club teaches socialism, allegiance to the federal government, and the notion that only liberal elitists should get to decide which babies live and which ones die!
The Alliance Defense Fund is representing the student and file the lawsuit against the school board on September 12, 2007. In a recent press release, ADF Senior Legal Counsel David Cortman said: " Christian and pro-life students cannot be treated as second-class citizens on campus. The student we represent wanted to start a pro-life club at her school, just as other students have been allowed to start their own club, yet school officials denied her and not the others. Under the law, school officials cannot discriminate on the basis of an arbitrary decision about the worthiness of the club's subject matter."
Last week, Cortman told the Associated Press: 'It's our opinion the school should immediately permit the formation of the pro-life club and we would be glad to settle the lawsuit."
While Principal Martin dislikes the pro-life message that would be promoted in the proposed club, she permits the party platform to be discussed by the Young Democrats club. Of course, that platform seeks the continued legal practice of abortion on demand.
Please join me in letting Principal Martin know what you think of her discriminatory policy toward pro-life students.
