'Iowans... Pawns or Patriots?'
By John A. Ross (11/15/07)
In about six weeks the authorized voting citizens of Iowa will construct a very important message telling the rest of America and the world by determining the candidates they believe and, therefore, what is important to the rest of us. Subjected for months to the best and brightest psychological manipulators available with near limitless resources, the citizens of Iowa must, initially, ascertain whether they will be pawns, or patriots. In this context, pawns must be perceived as drones for the advocates that want to control the world through the United Nations and patriots are those that believe in tried and true American values.
Saddled with the job of clearing away the smoke and mirrors that obscure the real agenda the various presidential candidates harbor, Iowans must also share with the rest of America what they have found under the rocks they must turn over. Faced with a so-called “liberal” mainstream media and press that has been repeatedly caught lying to the American people, the folks in Iowa must continue to expose the relevant sleaze they find themselves slogging through. Recognizing, of course, that lies and sleaze can be found anywhere there are self-serving political birds of the feather roosting, or strutting around the chicken coop.
As we, the American people, watch the sparring or shadow boxing in Iowa and, to a lesser degree, in New Hampshire score cards need to be kept on the various positions the candidates move to and from on issues that concern most politically moderate Americans. When asked, 86% of all Americans, regardless of political party affiliation, consider themselves to be ‘politically moderate.” Strong opinions are held by the 86% of us on illegal immigration, new taxes and their effect on our economy, obvious failure of our public schools and an apparent immoral national assault on our children. Dismissing, waffling or generally mush-mouthing anything to do with these issues by the candidates need to be brought to the attention of those of us that honestly care about America.
The challenges facing America today require demonstrated leadership, shared values on our borders, language and culture and the backbone to manage emotionally charged “politically correct” attacks. Thanks to independent minded talk show host Michael Savage, clear-headed logic can be applied to issue management of our borders, language and culture in lieu of liberal opportunist manipulation. Recognizing, of course, that much of the blame surrounding the problems 86% of us are experiencing today is couched in the present Bush, or previous Bill and Hillary Clinton administration’s failures.
Fed up with the “America haters” and the social climbers that feel that they need to trash our country to be cool, most of the 86% that are politically moderate are ready to get back to being Americans. With this in mind, patriotic left brain oriented Americans are needed to weed out the candidates that will sell us out to the United Nations, or permit our country to be overran by illegal aliens. Knowing these things, the real job before levelheaded Iowans is to identify the candidates that will permit patriotism, reward hard work and allow citizens to make their own luck. Trusting their patriotism, fundamental work ethic and belief in God Iowans and the rest of the 86% of Americans possess, America is in good hands. Always remember: Lurking in the weeds is, however, the perennial “snake-oil” salesman, or woman that will say, or do anything to acquire more wealth and power.
