Senator Larry Craig's Selfish Acts Will Give Hillary A Boost In '08

If there is one person who has been cheering on Larry Craig and his decision to remain in the U.S. Senate, it is without a doubt the inevitable 2008 Democratic nominee...Hillary Clinton.
As I watched Larry Craig give his infamous outdoor press conference, in which he failed miserably to convince the public that he is not gay, I was most saddened for his wife. I noticed that though she stood by her husband's side while he continued to deny the facts, she never looked at him. This undoubtedly long-suffering woman stood ramrod straight and looked straight ahead behind dark sunglasses. Her body language was most telling and her humiliation was obvious.
Sen. Larry Craig has not only privately dishonored his family with years of deviant encounters, but has now done so publicly. In addition to shaming his family, Craig's selfish decision to complete his term in the Senate after he initially announced his retirement, has delivered yet another blow to the Republican Party which is already on its heels.
You see, everyone expects abhorrent behavior from Democrats. The Democratic Party has long been the party of perversion, the party of drug and alcohol abuse, the party of infanticide, the party of sexual deviancy. These are the ideals that party has chosen to embrace, so we were not surprised when Congressman Patrick Kennedy got loaded and hit a police barricade at 2:00 a.m. Nor were we shocked when Rep. Cynthia McKinney assaulted a Capitol police officer. This type of behavior only serves to reassure their base that they are still one of them.
This expectation of dishonorable conduct is why a man such as Rep. Barney Frank has been serving in the House for 26 years. Not only does Frank serve openly as a sodomite, but was discovered a few years ago to have a male prostitution ring running out of his D.C. townhouse. Of course, Frank blamed it all on his live-in boyfriend and claimed no knowledge of the man-whores being rented out of his basement. Not in spite of but because of Frank's lies and disgusting behavior was he returned to Congress by his lawless and deviant supporters.
As much as the Democratic Party has set itself up to embrace everything that is harmful to the family, the Republican Party has set itself up to be a bulwark against those sane harmful forces and as the protector of family values. However, now that Craig has been discovered to be one of those creepy guys who hang out in public toilets, and Sen. David Vitter has been exposed as being obsessed with prostitutes, the Republican Party has been severely wounded. The continued presence of both of these 'men' in the U.S. Senate pours salt into that wound. This along with President Bush's devotion to the people of Mexico over his own countrymen, and his apparent love for socialism has made the GOP the butt of a national joke.
On November 5, 2008, Hillary Clinton should write Larry Craig a check for services rendered to her campaign. Craig's perversion and dishonorable decision to keep his seat in the Senate will help deliver her the White House.
When a Roman senator was caught in a scandal, he was given an opportunity to kill himself before shame was brought upon him as well as his family. If we were living in a time when notions such as honor still mattered, Larry Craig would have already drawn a warm bath and slit his wrists rather than lying about his homosexual bathroom antics. Today, such a man remains a senator and drags down his fellow comrades.
