Despite The Prevailing Ignorance...The U.S. Constitution Does Not Apply To The World
By Dave Gibson (12/26/07)
Contrary to what all liberals (including those in Congress and on the bench) seem to believe, the rights provided by the Constitution of the United States only apply to U.S. citizens inside this country. They do not apply to Iraqis nor to illegal aliens.
Last week, a left-wing human rights group known as the Center for Constitutional Rights filed a federal lawsuit against giant security contractor Blackwater. The suit alleges that on September 9, 2007, Blackwater guards shot and killed an Iraqi rug salesman named Ali Hussamaldeen Ibrahim Albazzaz, and that in doing so his constitutional rights were somehow violated.
The Center for Constitutional Rights has accused Blackwater of assault, war crimes, negligent hiring practices, wrongful death, and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. This is the second lawsuit that this group has filed against Blackwater.
Whether or not Blackwater guards are in fact "mercenaries" as the suit describes them, and whether or not they actually did kill the rug salesman without any provocation on his part...Iraqis are not U.S. citizens and therefore are not protected by the U.S. Constitution!
We all remember the rallies and protests held throughout this country in which millions of illegal aliens demanded their supposed rights. While many of those invaders knew that they were and still are part of an elaborate scam being perpetrated upon the American people, it was obvious that a great number of those protesting truly believed they somehow had a right to the same protections that you and I enjoy. Of course, the only right to which they were entitled and should have exercised was their right to remain silent.
It would be unfair though to accuse only the left and foreign invaders of ignorance in regards to the Constitution. Many Americans while traveling abroad believe that they still enjoy all of their rights and privileges provided by the Constitution. However, they receive a rude awakening when they run afoul of the law in a foreign land, and only then realize that our Constitution is rather meaningless outside of the United States. More than likely, they will be denied due process and their desperate calls to the American Embassy will meet with little or no response...It is quite a painful civics lesson indeed.
The 14th Amendment of the Constitution is currently being overwhelmingly abused by Mexican nationals entering this country illegally and on the verge of giving birth, in an attempt to have the child on American soil. In doing so successfully, they have made that child an automatic U.S. citizen and eligible for all of the freebies this welfare state has to offer. The illegal alien mother is then ordinarily allowed to stay in the country to care for the child.
The sole purpose of the 14th Amendment was to ensure that newly freed slaves were afforded the same rights as every other citizen. Period. We desperately need sensible legislation put forth to stop the abuse of the 14th Amendment and end the 'anchor baby' phenomenon and the lifetime burden it places upon the American taxpayers.
Just as desperately, we need legislators and judges who actually understand and respect our rights and perhaps more importantly, the limitations of the Constitution. As we demand more intelligent and thoughtful government, we as citizens must also take time to educate ourselves on that most sacred document.
