The 2008 Election Carnival
By Malcolm Hedges (01/12/08)
Anybody that wishes the USA to continue to exist will dismiss the Demercrat Socialist offerings for President.
The Republicrat field is a bit more problematic. Each candidate offers various positives and negatives.
And so as of this date, I will offer my current evaluations. (No necessarily those of a week ago)
Huckabee and McCain are Socialists. Mr Huckabee tried to hide the fact, Mr McCain has not hidden the fact. (Both are good at pretending to concerned about the future of the USA.)
Mr Romney might be a viable choice, but has yet to adequately explain his positions. (Doing so could be to his advantage.)
Mr Giuliani seems to be a Republicrat and so I reserve my opinion.
Mr Paul has some good ideas, but they are mixed with fantasies so I must consider him out of scope.
Mr Thompson is no angel, but his offering is looking much more interesting.
Picking a candidate to support usually involves balancing the good and the not so good and trying to to guess the best choice.
It ain't over yet, but the field seems to be getting narrower...
