Bursting the bubble
By Carolyn Hileman (02/15/08)

Senator Obama, speaks eloquently when he refers to hope and reminds us all that there is hope in hope, invest in us and we will invest in you, great words but very unrealistic. First of all the American taxpayers will be doing all of the investing while the government will be investing in what the liberals consider a good investment the poor, the down trodden the illegals and those who chose not to work. If you have a job and pay taxes you are not a good investment, they need those people who need stuff, like food stamps and welfare because while they may not work at a real job the one thing they will do is go out and vote and they will vote for the candidate who promises them some of the taxpayers money.

John McCain is now reduced to paying for emails to tell the conservatives we must unite, he has yet to understand that he is the one with the problem not everyone else. This man has forgotten that conservatives have very long memories and while we may be able to forgive, forgetting is a whole other issue. It is very hard to fathom that we are now faced with a choice between three people who stood up in the senate and attempted to give amnesty to 12 -20 million illegal immigrants, it is even harder to believe that we are faced with a choice between three people who have called the American citizens vile, rude, hate mongers, racists, xenophobes and nativists but we are.

All of this and not every state has had an opportunity to vote for the candidate they wanted to, those who have been left out are forced to vote for the leftovers and to say we don’t like it is an understatement, but to vote for Obama because you cannot stomach McCain is a vote for a tax increase and I don’t know about you but with gas prices and grocery prices going up I simply cannot afford to invest in Obama. Now then that leaves the question well what do we do? That is simple vote for the man or woman you intended to vote for in the primaries and in the general election, if you don’t like them write in Jeff Sessions but do not give in to their well we are all you got scheme, they are not all we have and we need to let them know that.

It is not law that we must vote for the nominee of either party and if we don’t like them rather than not vote or vote for the opposition use your vote to make a statement, use your vote for real change, a change in the voting system, a change that screams really loud we don’t like any of you. We have so many things shoved down our throats we now automatically swallow and today I refuse to swallow any more, I am intent on bucking their system a system built simply for those who follow blindly and take what they dish out. No more, we will not bow to their election results we will vote for people we believe in and we will be bursting the bubble...

A Piece Of My Mind

…one of your favorite reads in 1996 was It Takes a Village to Raise a Child, by Hillary Rodham Clinton, which means you probably agreed with the author’s assessment of public schools and how well equipped they are to provide a first-rate education to our kids.
Ed. Note: Why didn’t the Clintons send Chelsea to public school?
