I just listened to another radio advert reminding kids that they need to go to college, basically bankrupt their parents or themselves and become well programmed Progressives.
For 75% or so of those students, the 4 or 5 years will be wasted and should they graduate they will find that their degree is essentially useless.
With that degree, most of them will be qualified to become a trainee at a fast food operation, or a retail outlet.
If they had attended a lowly business, mechanical, medical or technical school for about two years, people would be offering them high paying jobs on graduation.
Auto mechanics, HVAC wizards, Computer nerds, electricians, medical assistants and technicians, administrative assistants, electronic technicians, etc. are in short supply and thus get very good pay.
Our country is flooded with college and university graduates, that refuse to work even when they are capable of doing anything.
Businesses are starting to get the message and begging for retirees to come back to work to help them stay competitive.
A current "High School" diploma general indicates an education is ruffly the same as an 8th grade graduate in the 1950's.
A college/university degree nowadays essentially emulates a "High School Diploma" from the 1950's.
One irony is that the longer kids attend "Public Schools" the stupider they get! It's well documented, just search on the Internet using a non-Progressive search engine.
Thanks to 'teachers' Unions dominated by Progressives(read closet Communists) and a sympathetic DOE and "school administrators", our school systems started to deteriorate in the the early 1960's and the results are very obvious.
The only way to fix the problem is to ban "teachers unions", eliminate the Department Of Education, deny taxpayer support for State Colleges and Universities, enable vouchers and charter schools.
If tenure for teachers is to be retained, it should be only provided after 10 years of service and subject to review by a panel consisting of business operators, HR executives, non-union instructors, students, parents and general citizens. The review would be repeated every 3 years by such a panel and a 65% majority would prevail for only three years.
As of this date, we have a generation or three of "High School Graduates" that can't read, write or speak English, have no clue about American History, can't comprehend Arithmetic and don't know much about anything else than their local neighborhood.
Just for grins the Progressives have ingrained in them that they deserve an income and doing something to earn it is obsolete... All they need to do is show up at work once in a while and pretend to do something. They got away with it at school, so why not.
Actually the Progressives are determined to destroy the US economy and social structure and this effort is doing quite well...
Guess why Progressives want more mandatory "Public Pre-School" training...
