'What exactly is the difference?'
By Carolyn Hileman (04/13/08)
Just suppose for a moment that every criminal chose to protest any and all raids against them, it would not be a pretty scene I am sure. Think about it the pedophiles, getting together and marching down every street in America, what about the prostitutes, the rapists, the murderers, throw in a few speeders and couple of drug lords, maybe even the mafia. Just imagine if the robbers and petty thieves got together and decided since all they were doing is trying to better their lives the rest of us should just leave them alone and mind our own business, I mean really what on earth is there to worry about it is just a bunch of people marching in our streets holding a bunch of signs.
Perhaps the pedophile could have a sign that says I love children I am not a criminal, the prostitutes could carry signs saying we are only doing what the wives won’t. The drug lords could even carry signs saying if you didn’t give your kids so much they needed to escape from I wouldn’t be in business, I mean why not, we are going to watch thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants wearing bandanas on their faces so you cannot distinguish who is legal and who is not, and those that are here illegally although a lot of people seem to think otherwise are criminals, and they are going to be in our streets, sponsored no less by the Mexican government and they are going to be protesting our governments right to prosecute, detain and deport them.
If we are going to allow criminals to march in our streets shouldn’t it at least be our own, shouldn’t we at the very least be represented in a mass demonstration against the law? If their signs were truly representative of whom they were and why businesses don’t want them to go they would say things like, I am one bed that won’t be made, or I am one lawn that won’t be mowed. Because the truth is it is only the businesses who benefit form the illegal workers, and I don’t know about you but I have not seen them passing much of the so called saving on to us. So how about it, why don’t we just invite all of the criminals, no matter how petty the offense march down our streets in defiance of the law and scream at us about how we would be no where without them and that we aint going to be able to do anything to them anyway and we will watch and know that they are right. We will know because we have already seen this happen before, people in our country illegally who are criminals took to our streets and not one person in authority even bothered to try and stop them.
You know the arsonists could put on little shows with fire; the drug lords could have a demonstration on how to cook meth, why it could be educational and all the while they could be telling us why they are so beneficial to us as well. I know this sounds insane and no one in their right minds would put up with this there would be screaming and yelling and people demanding the law arrest these criminals, because they have been living a life that included illegal activity. Yet the marches on May 1st will be mostly by people who are the same, they came into our country illegally and if you say they are working though ask yourself this question, whose social security number did they use to get that job, are they driving an unregistered uninsured car to work and would you be willing to let them use your social security number to get a job? They are here illegally; they have been living a life that includes illegal activity so you tell me what exactly is the difference.
