'Christian' Methodists For Illegals
By J. Grant Swank Jr. (04/27/08)
Christians presumably endorse law-abiding environs.
Methodists at the yearly conclave in Texas endorse illegals.
The SAVE Act strengthens US borders and mandates employers tell what workers are illegal and what are legal. The bill is pending.
Methodists oppose such sanity.
In the name of Christian compassion, Methodists sideline the law-abiding baseline. That kind of ‘Christian’ mush should never be countenanced as Christian.
Open borders will inundate America with illegals and thus destroy the civility of our Republic. Methodists will be rushed over and wonder what happened to their squashed heads. They will have deserved it, per their delegates in Texas. However, the rest of us don’t deserve that.
Hundreds of the three thousand Methodist convention delegates are giving the hallelujah shout for a crazy nation ruled by law breaking nutcases.
These rallying out-of-touch with Scripture balance between mercy and justice churchgoers should close their suitcases and turn themselves over to the Unitarian Society.
Methodist Bishop Minerva Carcano said, "We pray that this afternoon we might be a strong voice in favor of those who are immigrants today who suffer in river beds and who suffer in deserts."
In short, Carcano does not represent Christ.
