History Will Be Kind to President George W. Bush
By Gordon Bishop (05/16/08)
Who is the only world leader standing alone, fighting the Global War on Terror while the rest of the free world is afraid to take on terrorists committed to wiping out Western Civilization?
The answer is, of course, America’s President, George W. Bush.
It’s absurd that the liberal mainstream media has done everything it can to undermine and all but wreck Bush’s credibility and efforts to fight the Mideast terrorists living in the heart of the Arab world.
Bush has been whacked hard by the media and the Far Left since he was declared President of the United States by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2001. By the time Bush could create his Administration and put it to work, the Lone Star State’s “Lone Ranger” and almost all Americans were shocked when terrorists took down New York City’s World Trade Center’s two soaring towers, as well as bombing our nation’s military stronghold, The Pentagon, on that same day: The infamous “9/11.”
Some 3,000 innocent men, women and children were killed that dastardly day.
Just about everyone in this country knew exactly where they were and what they were doing on “9/11/01.” I was driving to work in Middletown and heard it on my car’s radio around 8:50 in the morning.
Everyone around me asked, “How could this happen?” And, “Who is this Taliban leader, Osama bin Laden?” Osama is the son of a billionaire contractor who built the Mideast “Mecca” in Saudi Arabia. The Taliban declared war on America!
This was unlike any war America has ever experienced. The enemy actually penetrated our nation’s powerful defense system. It was terrible and traumatic – and America would never be the same after 9/ll. Our proud global image as a “SuperPower” was instantaneously shattered into a gazillion pieces. Our hearts and souls have been challenged.
And it still drags on…as did the same 100-year war in the 11th Century known as the “Crusades.” Except the Free World won that war.
Who will win the Fourth World War?
The scenario becomes scary because Iran, which borders Iraq, has a nuclear power plant in the works. A nuclear power plant produces plutonian as a waste material, which can then be used to make Atom bombs.
That’s one thing America – and the United Nations – do not want: A nuclear war. Russia, Israel, India and other advanced nations also have nuclear weapons – the ultimate destruction of the planet Earth, if ever launched.
Our planet has become a “Ticking Time Bomb.” We can only pray the nuclear domino strategy is never put into play.
It could be the end of the human race.
But back to Reality.
A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey indicates that 71 percent of the American public disapproves of how Bush is handling his job as president.
What most Americans don’t know is that CNN is a Leftist TV outlet founded by Ted Turner, former husband of Jane “Hanoi” Fonda, who supported the North Vietnam aggressive attack on South Vietnam in the 1960s and ‘70s.
You can’t get any wackier than that star-studded combo.
My only complaint against President Bush is that he did not downsize government during his eight years in the Oval Office. Bush is supposed to be a fiscal conservative, not a liberal tax-and-spend elected official.
For the record, while Bush may have a low approval rating of 29 percent, the Democrat-controlled Congress has an approval rating of only 11 percent. It’s Congress that makes the laws and spends the taxpayers’ money, like it or not.
Once again, God Bless America!
