'What Are The Sierra Club?'

It seems it is about 1,300,000 people(per their website) (about .4% of the American population) that advocate for various environmental issues.
A brief review of the Sierra Club(SC) can be found at Wikipedia.
Much of the extreme costs for energy and food in recent times can be traced back to efforts by this and similar groups.
The question remains as to whether this is the result of a good idea gone astray, a calculated agenda or perhaps a good group undermined by external infiltration?
I will make no attempt to resolve the question, just put forward some food for thought.
When the efforts of some .4% of the USA population can raise so much havoc in an economy of such size, it would seem that external support must be amplifying the agenda.
A brief review will reveal that many if not most Democrat office holders seem to have an extreme dedication to advancement of the Sierra Club agenda. There are some several RINO members of government that openly endorse the SC view of the USA.
Likewise the Left-Wing Progressive MSM seems to be endeared with their operations and objectives. Various Federal and State government agencies such as the EPA seem to thrive on blind implementation of most any SC suggested program.
SC is openly fanatical about environmental issues. It is generally accepted that fanatical environmentalism is a pseudo religious exercise that is Communistic if not Communist based.
That being said, Progressive Socialists of all flavors tend to find it an admirable effort.
When you hear "green", you are getting a message indirectly from SC, its advocates or similar groups such as Greenpeace.
At the least hundreds of thousands of jobs have been eliminated, thousands of businesses have been destroyed or crippled and millions of lives have been altered to the negative based on projects by SC.
At the present time their minions are busy trying to thwart the border security fence to save ants, bugs and obscure reptiles and rodents?
All of this general havoc has been based on often proven baseless(after the destruction has happened) environmental crisis contentions.
In my personal opinion, the SC agenda has no real contact with reality (if it is not their intention, it's time to fix the agenda), generally all they do directly or indirectly is work to undermine the US economy by manipulating the legal and political systems to undermine capitalism based on grandiose often essentially fabricated or faulty issues.
If you want to be poor and destitute, I encourage you to join and or support The Sierra Club. it's your right cause we "still" have a semi-free country.
If you don't want to be forced into poverty and destitution, you might want to consider other options.
Every American with a brain wants reasonable and appropriate attention to preservation and protection of the environment. Outright subversion of the human race for general purposes don't calculate.
