The Great College-University Scam
By Malcolm Hedges (06/17/08)
I have talked about this issue before and it continues to deserve being addressed.
A huge industry exists generally described as "higher education". For starters, there is little if any "higher education" happening in most of those institutions.
Excellent evidence is that generally the longer students attend most schools, the stupider they become. (This starts in Pre-School or Kindergarten and compounds as years go by).
The "higher education" machine in combination with Progressive businessmen and politicians has created a myth that "if you don't get a college degree you are doomed", BS!
Perhaps 75% of college degrees granted are useless. The major is not needed by employers and/or the graduate is unqualified to anything but go to college!
The practical manufacturing and service industries need (and beg for) qualified candidates, Colleges and High Schools refuse to provide them.
Businesses compound the problem by demanding a college degree for consideration, disregarding qualifications or experience.
Starting in the early 1960's practical education was slowly purged from "Public Schools". As a result, a current "graduate" from a High School has the education level roughly similar to a 1950's student emerging from the 7th or 8th grade.
A College BA and some BS Degrees granted today is kinda like the 1950's High School Diploma. (this is a stretch, many "graduates" cannot read or write).
The major problem besides not being educated, the students are stupid (by design of the school systems) and consider working for a living below their station in life.
Back to the main issue, maybe some ~40% of students ejected from High School could be considered to be "possible" College-University material.
The balance can have excellent careers in the manufacturing and service sectors, often getting better incomes and more personal satisfaction than the elitist College Grad.
Besides the economic needs of the "higher education" machine, I suggest that the total education machine has a political agenda designed to dumb-down the populace and undermine the US economic system in order to justify a Socialist USA.
If this is not their agenda, they sure have done an excellent job of making it happen.
As you wander around during your day, notice how many idiots you have to deal with. They are everywhere, brought to you by our public schools and the "higher education" machine...
