Biblical Anglicans Solidify
By J. Grant Swank Jr. (06/29/08)
“Dr Peter Jensen, the Archbishop of Sydney, said Anglican leaders in America had driven the worldwide church to the brink of schism by ordaining the first openly gay bishop, the Rt Rev Gene Robinson, in 2003” per Tim Butcher and Martin Beckford of the Telegraph.co.uk.
The Holy City is where biblically loyal Anglicans gather to solidify their abhorrence against active homosexuality, particularly within their own denomination.
However, Anglicans don’t like to be called a “denomination.” They like to think of themselves as a higher breed than Protestant denominations. Therefore, they present themselves as Anglicans, then Protestants and Roman Catholics.
Interesting, isn’t it, especially when Protestants don’t consider Anglicans a breed above but in fact categorize them right there along with all the rest of the Protestant denominations.
Anyhow, aside from the typical Anglican snootiness, Anglican biblical believers meet in Jerusalem to fellowship, pray and hope for God’s blessing upon their allegiance to the Word of God as divine revelation—not be added to or subtracted from—nor altered by liberals’ demonic exegesis.
The Anglican homosexual lifestyle enthusiasts have already separated themselves from divine grace by persisting in debunking God, Scripture and Christian morality. Therefore, the Anglican biblically aligned are simply doing human what the Lord has done in heaven.
The only way that the apostate Anglicans can return to the heart of God is to openly repent of their wickedness, publicly turn from their sin and live before all the holiness of the Spirit.
“Be holy, even as I am holy,” God declares in both the Old and New Testament.
Anglican loyalists are knowledgeable that sin has sought to penetrate the faithful in centuries prior, only to come under divine wrath. They are also buoyed up to know that God has promised in the Bible to bless those who obey Him. They believe without doubt they will come under the divine
blessing—individually and as a ministerial conclave.
The rest of the scripturally Christian world applauds them. Evangelicals within Protestantism and biblically sensitive Catholics as well as Orthodox believers hold them up in intercessory prayer.
It is this body of combined labels that makes up the righteous remnant of this generation. They stand as one in the eyes of God, not because of their varying labels but because of their solid faith in Scripture as eternally valid.
The Anglican loyalists declare to media that the division now within Anglicanism is definite. There is no hope of going back because of the severity of the apostates’ evil. Further, the biblically aligned declare they have done with the Archbishop of Canterbury. They have no respect for him whatsoever.
And right they are.
He has proven himself time and again to be unfit for the position of spiritual leader of anything. He has sided with the theologically liberal apostates and given scant support to anything biblically sound. Before the Judgment Seat of Christ he will answer with his soul in grave danger of eternal damnation, that is, if the Bible is to be taken utterly seriously.
And it is with just that seriousness that the Anglican biblically aligned march onward, much to the chagrin of liberals who watch their “denomination” dwindle with every passing day.
Their numbers decrease the more they cry “legitimate we are!”
