Rising Gas Prices Demonstrate a Successful Liberal Policy
By J. James Estrada (07/12/08)
How many times have you heard this phrase from the media elite and the Democrats, “this is a failed Bush policy”? Well, as gas prices continue to rise across the nation, this phrase should be part of the John McCain’s presidential campaign: “Rising gas prices are the result of a successful liberal policy.”
Liberals - that is socialists, environmentalists, and Democrats - have for years decided that Americans are not capable of responsibly 1) drilling for domestic oil, 2) managing refineries, and 3) operating nuclear facilities. So, the energy needs of the country are found squarely in the hands (and grips) of foreign entities that may, or, may not, have our best interests in mind. In fact, some of them may want to do to us what Jesse Jackson wants to do to Barack Obama.
Of course, the real reason liberals have espoused this nonsensical policy towards energy independence is that they want “control.” To wit, they want to control refineries; they want to control the gas and oil companies; they want to control how you and I live, and this is essentially the end game. It is called Marxism.
Hillary Clinton and others want to sue OPEC. The only ones deserving to be sued for the fine mess we are in concerning energy costs are the liberals in the U.S. Congress for their successful policy to control our lives and give themselves ever-increasing power.
And by the way, the phrase “failed Bush policy”? Has any bothered to go back and re-visit Bush’s energy initiative put forth during his first six months in office that was torched by the Dems? This is one report responding to President Bush’s energy policy in May, 2001:
The US president emphasized the importance of conservation and energy production "at home". He said the plan would "expand and diversify our nation's energy supplies", by encouraging more oil exploration and greater use of coal and nuclear energy, while offering incentives for conservation and renewable energy sources. "If we fail to act, Americans will face more and more widespread blackouts," Mr Bush said. He also warned that America could become more and more reliant on foreign crude oil, "putting our national energy security in the hand of foreign nations, some of whom do not share our interests".
Dems denied the passage of this energy bill because they believed it to be a “payback” to energy companies who donated to the Bush campaign. With gasoline prices now rising faster than Congress’s approval numbers are dropping, what’s that well known saying about “payback?” It’s a -------!
