A Word To The Wise...
By John A. Ross (07/24/08)
Prior to November 4th, 2008, all eligible voters need to determine if their federal representative, senators and presidential candidate support energy independence from foreign oil. Should your federal representative cling to, or waffle on the need for ending the influence foreign countries that hate America vote for someone that does, regardless of party affiliation. The United States of America faces internal and external enemies that fear and hate our freedoms and are plotting to eliminate our ability to influence the world and militarily protect all Americans and our friends.
Countries, like people, are either givers or takers. The American people have a long history of being unselfish givers, unlike most of the rest of the world. Giving everything from life, limb, resources and education, America has been a light that the world has sought to copy for a long time. Faced with giving our independence, freedoms and options away, or the production of energy that does not come from countries that hate America, we had best start demanding governmental accountability. Similar to the space program that culminated in putting men on the moon in less than seven years, America must, as we did then, focus on becoming energy independent.
Demand, yes demand that aggressive American energy production objectives be set and met by government officials working with our industries that employ U.S. citizens. Provided the leadership, timelines and resources, the American people will, as we always have, step into the breach and exceed all expectations. Treating this grave threat and the American people with timidity is a reflection of the pathetic leadership we have sent to Washington D.C. to lead our country.
