Demercrat Convention Rumored For This Week
By Malcolm Hedges (08/26/08)
I keep searching for this Convention and all I have been able to find on TV is some kind of gathering in Denver with a lot of Demercrats hanging around.
I'm not alone, a couple of significant Demercrat voices have essentially expressed the same general opinion.
Whatever is supposed to be happening seems to have gotten lost in the memos. (Maybe nobody can read them?)
There is little indication of serious organizational structure, that's pretty much the norm for Socialist Demercrats.
It's pretty obvious that "party unity" is not yet apparent: Left -vs- Far Left -vs- Radical Left -vs- Whacko Left is the current status...
Actual Democrats are kinda given lip service and then ignored.
Progressive Socialism as promoted by Demercrats demands mediocrity at all levels and it seems the agenda has been successful beyond all their dreams.
A minor issue is the internal battles between the defacto "leaderships", who have two different ideas about how to turn the US into a Socialist utopia. There is the 60's radicals and the new radicals and they don't seem to get along real well.
I heard another rumor that Republicrats are planning a Convention next week, maybe it will actually happen?
