Beware Of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
By Editor (08/30/08)
Stuff that worked fine in OS X 10.4.11 Tiger is now history?
I could no longer see my SCSI drives after moving to OS X 10.5 Leopard?
OS 9.22 still found them, so assumed they were still working.
Just for grins, I installed a fresh copy of OS X 10.4.11 Tiger on an IDE drive and suddenly I had SCSI drives in my G4 box.
Who knows what other undocumented changes lurk in OS X 10.5 Leopard? Searching the Apple site had zer0 information as usual....
Apple needs to fix Leopard before releasing another half-a**ed package! Refusing to fix releases before issuing new ones borders on theft! Every iteration they demand more than $120 to get the privilege of essentially being a Beta tester? They must be studying the MicroCrap marketing model...
I'm going to keep a 10.3 system, a 10.4.11 system and a 10.5 system, as well as my trusty kick-a** 9.22 system!
Perhaps you should consider the same.
