Ethanol frankly is cra*! Lower mileage, more emissions and inflated food prices!
Ethanol is basically legalized "moonshine". It don't like pipelines and thus must be trucked around using ton's of diesel to get it into the system.
A very detailed discussion can be found on Wikipedia accuracy is subject to review.
Like most fabrications, Ethanol requirements and usage are subsidized by the Government. In other words, nobody would touch it with a ten foot poll unless the Government paid them to do it.
Most everything we eat, touch or eat includes or is influenced by corn prices, so as corn is diverted to make Ethanol our cost of living goes off the charts.
Ethanol is just another Green scam designed to help destroy the American economy!
