Editorial: Small Businesses Do NOT Pay Capital Gains Taxes!

The Comrade Obama 'reduction' of Capital Gains Taxes for Small Businesses is a sham or an example of total economic stupidity.
Per IRS: "Almost everything you own and use for personal or investment purposes is a capital asset. Examples are your home, household furnishings, and stocks or bonds held in your personal account. When you sell a capital asset, the difference between the amount you sell it for and your basis, which is usually what you paid for it, is a capital gain or a capital loss."
If a Small Business should sell stock to investors and such investors make a profit on sale of such a stock they would be subject to a Capital Gain Tax: "The taxable part of a gain from qualified small business stock is taxed at a maximum 28% rate." (IRS)
Most Small Businesses operate as an S Corporation or privately owned individual company. As a result any profit derived from the business is taxed as personal income.
As a practical fact, any person that works 50 to 60 hours per week (or more) to make a small business function should not pay an income tax unless the the business has gross receipts of more than $400,000. An average small business has a profit margin of ~10%, so an individual operator with a 50+ hour work week might realize a $40,000 salary which will be whacked by various federal and state taxes resulting in perhaps $30,000 in pocket. (Still needing to buy business insurance, health insurance,etc)
Guess what, that same person could get a cushy 40 hour per week job with perks, breaks and benefits and realize an in pocket pay of ~$35,000.
Socialists hate small businesses, not matter how large they may get and how many jobs they may create.
Stupidly to the nth power! People working pay taxes, people not working don't pay taxes they get unemployment checks and food stamps, etc ...
Most all jobs are created and supported by Small Business, government attacking and destroying small business is a true death wish.

After High School in Oregon and a semester at Arizona State, I tried a few options and then went off to the Army from '64 to '73. Got some good schooling under the "old" GI bill in Tucson, which gave me an AS in Business. For various reasons landed in LA, and by '78 became a "Test Engineer". Along that path I had some very interesting positions including 6 1/2 years on the Space Telescope, for economic reasons I jumped Silicon Valley and returned to Tucson in 1993. No real jobs in Tucson, so relocated to the Phoenix area in 1995. '95 -'04 various contract and "permanent" positions in all kinds of interesting areas. Jan '05 was "retirement" time. So just tend to 80+ websites and try to find time to relax :=) On the side, I am the Editor of American Daily.
