Demercrats: Save The Auto Union Slugs To Hell With The Economy
By Malcolm Hedges (11/17/08)
American Auto industry management has by no means done a great job, the Demercrats whacko Greeenism Rules and outrageous UAW demands and rules are equally at fault.
Any company or organization infested with a Union or Unions is operating with one hand tied behind their backs.
Unions demand universal mediocrity of their members with inflated pay scales.
If a company or organization infected with a Union is operating in a non-competitive environment the result is lousy quality and service with inflated costs and expenditures. (Government, aerospace, education)
If a company or organization infected with a Union is operating in a competitive environment the result is a distinct disadvantage in the marketplace. That company will be fighting daily to remain profitable and in business.
The US automobile manufacturers, in spite of all of the obstacles presented by Congress and the Unions, have recently managed to produce a pretty fair quality product with a marginally decent price point.
Unions are premised on Socialism, so they fight adaptability and efficiency at every turn. Work rules demand a stupid inefficient workplace as a matter of practice.
The auto industry for as long as I can remember has thrived on perceived or engineered obsolescence to create new sales.
Not too many years ago vehicles were engineered to self-destruct shortly after the warranty expired. That failing, they came up with useless model frills and features to try to make people justify buying a new vehicle.
American parts suppliers helped the problem by providing substandard vehicle components to the manufacturers. The manufacturers were either too stupid to notice or ignored the quality issue.
Due to Congress and Unions, any vehicle sold in the USA costs approximately 2x what it should!
American manufactures have maybe 2 or 3 times more dealerships than is economically practical.
The only way to fix the American Big 3 auto machines is to allow them the go into bankruptcy and reorganize!
