The Deflation Panic
By Malcolm Hedges (11/21/08)
Elitists are now warning of 'Deflation' pressures that will 'confuse' the economy.
We need some deflation to correct stupid and robbery level prices on a variety products and services.
Efficiency has gone by the wayside and encouraged outrageous costs and prices in order to compensate.
Buy a bag of chips that cost maybe $0.25 to produce and they charge you $5.00???
Get some work done on your vehicle and the mechanic gets maybe $25.00 per hour and the charge to you is $95.00 per hour?
Go to a store and buy a shirt for $45.00 when the actual cost to the retailer was $10.00 and the shirt was originally produced for less than $1.00?
The 99cent store sells excellent batteries at 4 for $0.99, but other stores sell for them $4.00 to $5.00?
Clearly there is a lot of room in the business arena for lower costs for products and services.
If we are to have any chance of economic survival, some serious price pressures need to bring us some "constructive deflation"...
That seriously applies to the "Public School" ponzi scheme. Schools are running at maybe 25% efficiency at best. ~75% of the money they receive goes into a black hole!
Our "governments" waste "our" taxes at an alarming rate. It's time for all of our government spend thrifts to get their act together!
Three cheers for some "constructive deflation"...
