Treason From Within

There is a cancer in the American body politic, which has been allowed to metastasize. It is nurtured by at least 53 members of the ‘Progressive Caucus’ in congress and has its roots, ideology, and objectives grounded in socialism.
This is not the paranoid rambling of a right wing radical wacko. This is a FACT.
Cicero observed, "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gate is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very hall of government itself…he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist."
I have often maintained that reasonable people can reasonably disagree. However, as evidenced and documented in the work of Tammy Bruce, David Horowitz, Ann Coulter and others, when dealing with the elitist liberal left, that claim assumes facts not in evidence.
If (and this is a big honking ‘if’) the objective of political debate is “fairness”, or at least the illusion of objectivity, why such strident shrillness from the left?
There are over 50 Democrats in Congress who are members of a policy group working with, and being promoted by the Democratic Socialists of America, the domestic branch of the Socialist International Party.
The websites have moved since I first wrote about them in 1998 but DSA http://www.dsausa.org was (and is) working with the Congressional Progressive Caucus http://bernie.house.gov/pc/ .
Some may say, "So what?" Dems have tried to socialize everything from schools to food for ages ... this is no doubt a mere left-wing fringe element in counterpoint to the right-wing extreme.
Not hardly. According to the Democratic Socialists, the caucus they are heavily promoting includes among its membership significant liberal movers and shakers. I had to update the old list but the Progressive Caucus has over 50 congressional members who are a conspicuous list of “the usual suspects” including House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi.
In 1998 The Conservative News Service attempted to contact Conyers, Waxman and others but was unsuccessful. When they called the staff office of the caucus, an aide to Congressman Bernard Sanders answered the phone. Sanders is a self-proclaimed socialist and was listed as the chairman of the executive committee of the caucus. Slowly now, and read this twice ... an avowedly socialist congressional caucus was operating out of a congressional office staffed by a congressional aide and paid for with your tax dollars. Yes folks, YOU are paying for the rope with which it is intended you be hanged.
Before you start dredging up pejorative adjectives to describe my paranoia, read the words from the Internet web site of the Democratic Socialists of America:
“DSA's members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in American communities and politics. ..." Please note the phrase "openly socialist presence in American communities AND politics."
It is to be assumed these ‘progressives’ intend to undermine, abrogate and destroy the Constitution of the United States to which those 53 congressional members have sworn a sacred oath.
Socialism comes in a wide variety of flavors ... all bad. Communism has jokingly been called "socialism in a hurry." Mussolini tried out fascism, a variation on the same theme. The Nationalist Socialist Workers Party was the Nazism effort. Now Nancy Pelosi, John Conyers, Barney Frank, Maxine Waters and their co-conspirators rabid to defend the indefensible are working to introduce and legitimize an American abomination ... The Democratic Socialists of America.
Once upon a time, you couldn't get in the military (in some cases, couldn't get a job) if you were a member of certain subversive organizations. Today however, aided by politically correct ‘enlightenment’ membership in the right subversive group could qualify you for Congress and even a leadership role.

The Progressive Caucus is symbiotically linked with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
Although most of the members are from California, New York and Massachusetts there are at least twenty-four states represented.

Confucius said, “To see what is right, and not do it, is want of courage or of principle.” If you lack the courage, cling to the principle. If you lack the principle, muster the courage.
